UC Davis appeal

So I got rejected from Davis and I am appealing to the school. The school is my first choice and ive been to the campus before so i am not giving up. I have a 3.4 gpa with an 1820 SAT. I have plenty of extracurriculars with a year in a research lab. In my appeal I am also sending a letter of rec from my PI.
I was wondering if you guys think it's a good idea to visit the campus and talk to someone from the admissions office? Has anyone done this before? I was thinking if I show enough interest by going to the campus that it might give me an edge. And if I do who should I talk to and about what?

I concept, talking face to face is always better. But I’m not sure if anyone from admissions will take an appointment. I could be wrong. Hopefully more posts will follow.

Yeah, admissions officers would be pretty busy right now reading through the other appeals and whatnot so I’m not sure who you could talk to.

yeah i was wondering the same thing if I could go up on picnic day next saturday and be able to talk to the appeal committee.

Read the UC Davis website, which is clear that the sole process for an appeal is online. They state that no interviews will be granted.
