ok…i am kinda convinced that DAvis is better now…
but i have one question still…
i heard that DAvis is the largest campus of all UCs…it’s like 5200 acres
but then…i want to know is it too big that it’s inconvenient?
like do you really need a bike or a car?
and is it like…when you walk on the campus…you barely see any people cuz the campus is too big?

you will need a bike to get frm class to class, and UC Davis is the 3rd biggest UC enrollment wise so you'll see people everywhere while on campus.

The core campus where classes are held isn't 5200 acres, The university owns a lot of farmland and undeveloped stuff that gets counted in the total land area.
The core campus is still fairly large but if you have a bike it takes less than 5 minutes to get from the one side to another. You'll see tons of people going between classes it can be a bit of a pain to dodge all the pedestrians when you're biking.

ohhhh ...bjwbell~~thanks
that makes me less worried..if i go there...lol
so bike is not needed~

Davis has the highest number of bicycles per capita than any city. You'll probably want one to get around campus.

I would get a bike, you don't have to have one but it's so much faster for getting between classes that aren't close together.

You will definitely want/need a bike at Davis. Pretty much every student there rides a bike at least some of the time. The campus and the whole town for that matter is set up for bikes. If you show up without a bike, you will be buying one within the first week or two.

How about cars?

I'm not too stringent on riding on the trams/buses provided at Davis. But I have relatives up in Oakland that I'd like to visit regularly, especially the fact that there is a church that I specifically like to attend to. And my family lives in S. California, and I'd rather drive down to visit them myself. Is there a way around for Freshmans to bring their cars?
