Did everyone who got accepted get asked to apply to the honors program or only a few? I want to know if i’m special
You are special. My son did not get asked to apply.
@emcguffin do you mean the University Honors Program? I didn’t think that required application.
LMAO I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE RIVERSIDE ONE OOPS
Riverside requires you to apply? All of the other UCs accept you into their honors program based on your general application.
accepted to davis but waitlisted at ucsb, does that mean ucsb is more prestigious? for compsci major?
UCD is nearer to Silicon Valley…
@MisterStudentt:
It means that each UC campus looks for different things from each applicant. UCD thought you would be a good fit and maybe UCSB did not. Also UCSB’s CS/Engineering department is small in comparison to some of the other UC’s so they may have more limited spots available.

General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: Don’t get discouraged just because a few schools reject you. Life is too short to get depressed over something so small. If a school denies you, then it’s their lost, not yours. Good luck!!
did anyone get the decision day link?
@socalgal21 My D got it but she had trouble registering with it
I’ll be at the University Honors Program Preview Day and the Regents Overnight. Hope to see some of you there!
We got the email with the invitation link to Decision Day and also had trouble registering with it. When we switched browsers from Chrome to Edge we were able to register so we’re all set.
does anyone know anything about experience uc davis? I am registered and signed a waiver for myself, does my dad need one as well?
@Gumbymom can u help me please??? So I reported that I would take 5 Community college courses in spring , however, I took only 3 courses due to high school unit enrollment. I updated my courses at UC Davis portal and explained them my situtation before decisions rolled out. I reported them probably in mid feb. Do u think Davis will rescind my admission??? Pleaseeeee help…Its really urgent
Thanks in advance.
@Sharob: you have notified UCD of your schedule change and I would follow up with a phone call to make sure the changes are noted. It will be up to UCD if they want to re-evaluate your application. As long as you have documentation and you have met the UC a-g requirements by graduation you should be fine. As always, contact admissions for the final work if you have concerns.
@Gumbymom Thank you for ur reply. I have met all the a-g requirements and if you don’t mind me asking, what kind of documentation do I require in case Davis evaluates my application again?
@Gumbymom By the way, I love ur profile photo.
@Sharob: You said you updated the UCD’s portal. Did you email or call admissions? Get names of the admission’s contact? Copy of Mid-year transcript from your counselor showing the schedule change and an explanation indicating why you were limited to only 3 courses.
