@ironweasal @NerdWannaBe3 yes!! It’s like, really Davis? I was talking to my college counselor and she was saying how some students of hers get into Berkeley but not Davis and it confuses me like??? Yes they should care about more than JUST stats, but if a kid works hard for their stats (a 1410 is amazing btw) it shouldn’t be ignored lol?? Just makes me mad also CONGRATS on waitlist!!!
i got rejected but it also says that 5900 applicants got in from 78000 total. What does that mean?? UCD is not like 7% acceptance rate??
Accepted OOS - Comp Sci
GPA - 4.2 Weighted
ACT 33 (M36; S34; E34; R28)
Band 4 years and lots of volunteer activities
No scholarships listed on the portal. OOS cost is high. Unsure at this point.
My S waitlisted CS
GPA - 4.2 weighted
SAT - 1410
Sat 2 Math - 780
Hey, so i got in, but I wanted to see about the scholarships, but I can’t login to the portal (im gonna call them on monday)… did you all get an email that got the scholarships?
many of y’all are saying if you didn’t get into UCD (b/c of how they judges applicants this year), then for sure UCSD or UCI will accept you based on a whole rounded review. I got accepted to UCD (with lower stats than most of you), so do I still have a chance for UCSD and UCI? UCI is my #1 choice.
Accepted for Animal Science Major!
ACT: 28
SAT: 1270
GPA weighted: 4.3
GPA unweighted: 3.8
OOS-Florida
Accepted: Mechanical Engineering
SAT - 1370
GPA weighted: 4.33 (UC GPA)
GPA unweighted: 3.96
In-State
Strong EC’s & Essays
Also, I was invited to the Honors program and I was wondering if the Honors program is “special” or harder to get in.
These are my unscientific observations about acceptance criteria this year: (1) GPA, (2) major. GPA was king, subject only to the choice of major. It looks like animal sciences was a good choice this year, as well as mechanical engineering, computer science, and some random others. Conversely, biological sciences was not a good choice this year.
Waitlisted: Computer Science & Engineering
SAT - 1530
GPA weighted: 4.54 (3.91 UC GPA, 3.56 community college transferrable GPA if that counts)
GPA unweighted 3.76
In-State
academic courses were ~2/3s HS (honors+AP) and 1/3 community college courses
Decent ECs (Key Club, academic competitions, STEM related stuff, enough comm. college credits to get Associate’s) and 8/10(?) essays I’d say
My friend and I have pretty much the exact same stats and extracurriculars and we both applied for nutrition and we both got into SLO’s nutrition program. However, I got waitlisted and she got accepted. And I actually have a higher GPA and test score than her soooo I honestly don’t know what’s going on
ACCEPTED!
Major: Computer Science and Engineering
ACT: 35
GPA: 4.27W, 3.97UW (I don’t remember my UC GPA lol)
Out of state
(in my opinion) Strong essays and ECs
I’m sorry to everyone who didn’t get in, one rejection isn’t the end of the world! Congrats to those accepted
@mmstanfordbound Same major!
(edit b/c I forgot to @)
CSE, ACT 34 , 10 AP, internship and great essays, waitlisted. I declined to be waitlisted this morning

@happywaffles It’s impossible to understand, so nothing to wrack your brain about. BIG congratulations on your admission to SLO. That’s quite an accomplishment.
4.53 GPA W, 3.9 UW, 1510 SAT (800 Math, 710 English) (7-7-7 essay), SAT 2: Math Level 2-730, Biology-720, 14 APs throughout high school
On the exec board of 5 clubs,600+ hours of volunteering
Accepted into neurobiology, physiology, and behavior at Davis
Does anyone think I have a shot at getting into UCSD? Please be brutally honest.
@glazedoanut How did you get rejected from Stanford already when decisions come out April 1st?
@Dovahkiin012200 I’m sure @glazedoanut must have received rejection from EA round at Stanford back in December
Accepted for Managerial Econ
Rejected for Environmental Engineering
SAT:1370 (took junior year)
ACT: 33 (took senior year)
GPA weighted: 3.95
GPA unweighted: 3.79
Decent EC’s, good essays. Went from a 3.5 GPA sophomore year to a 4.3 junior year. Thought the great improvement might help my chances of getting in. Being a women in engineering didn’t seem to help either.
