Is it more common to be waitlisted by UCD and accepted by UCSB or vice versa? I know nothing is for sure, but just guessing based on past trends what do you guys think?
Is UCSB more difficult to get in than UCD based on past trends? Or the other way around?
Yo did anyone get an email saying that they have the opportunity to visit the campus with free transportation, dorming, and food? I’m from socal so and they’re providing free plane tickets for us.

I come from a pretty underfunded school so our SAT scores are not the best, I’m actually surprised I got in. But then again I have very good extra-curriculars and my essays explained myself pretty well.
Does anybody know if there is a room deposit?
To everyone that is saying if you get accepted/waitlisted/rejected to UCD then it’s easier/harder to get accepted into UCSD, UCI, UCSB, or whatever UC that is left, that theory and speculation is not true. Every UC is different and are separate upon judging each applicant. Each UC doesn’t know which UC you have been admitted nor know which UC you WANT to go. The only time they would “guess” that you would want to go to their university is based on your geographic location (or being local to their campus). Sure, UCD admitted students weirdly this year, but it doesn’t mean the other UCs will change too.
Hi, I have received a mail regarding visiting uc davis but it has nowhere mentioned free transportation since even I do not live close to the event in my country. So is this a separate email that has been sent to you?

@IWANNASTUDYCS the second paragraph in your portal will tell you if you got regents and/or into the honors program. You should have gotten an email a few minutes ago about “UHP Preview Day” if you got accepted into the honors program
What are the odds of waitlists for Computer Science to get acceptance?
Dear ____,
I am delighted to welcome you again to the UC Davis Freshman Class of 2022! As one of our most promising admitted students, I invite you to join us for a visit to UC Davis. Your free trip includes meals and chaperoned round-trip transportation between your departure point and the campus.
This is the beginning of the email I got which talks about free transportation to go to Davis
That’s the same email my D got. Her friend got invited as well so they’re hoping they get to fly in together for the 3-day event. How fun!
How do they choose who gets a free trip?
@fingerscrossed40 I have no idea. I’m not a regents scholar or receiving any sort of scholarship from them, but they offered it to me
I got accepted…somehow

I was accepted into UCD for electrical engineering, and I am thinking about going to UCD over CPLSO (accepted 3/1). Does anyone have insight as to the pros/cons for UCD Engineering? SLO is great, but I like the location and campus of UCD better.
