Strengths: Extracurriculars, test scores
Weaknesses: Grades, Course load
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
-I think the primary reason I was rejected was simply because I’m not stellar when it comes to course load. Sure, I’ve taken a handful of AP’s but I already knew I would be facing slim chances since I’m not advanced in math, nor did I take AP Chemistry or Physics (did take honors chem though). UC Davis is known for attracting STEM students so not stacking up in this area (expected of talented students pursuing STEM), is what I think may have dragged me down. I also was unable to engage in any major research projects or university based programs because the ones local to me were SO SO expensive, but I wouldn’t qualify for anything to be waived.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
-Accepted: ASU, SFSU, USFCA, Drexel, SeattleU, University of Washington (Seattle), University of Miami, University of Maryland (College Park)
-Deferred: Georgetown
-Still waiting on: UCSB, UCLA, UCB, American, Brandeis, Georgetown (again), UPenn
General Comments:
-Can’t wait to see where I end up, and I hope everyone gets in where they hoped!
