REFLECTION::

Strengths: GPA, class rank, uncommon-ish major, less traditional student, AP scores, upward grade trend

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: umm idk maybe GPA but honestly no clue.

Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: SDSU (honors), UCR (honors), CSUN, NAU, waiting for UCSD (Roosevelt)

GENERAL COMMENTS
This year was so crazy with all my friends having competitive stats and being waitlisted/rejected from the UCs and CSUs. I was honestly expecting a waitlist from Davis. I feel like my stats could have been a lot stronger but I guess I did what I could. I’m just shook.

REFLECTION::

Strengths:
Course rigor of having taken 12 APs+2 honors +6 DE courses

Weaknesses:
GPA! I’m probably the lowest GPA applicant admitted by Davis.

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Likely because they considered my application in context of some personal health and family issues I dealt with during my junior year.

Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:

Accepted: CPSLO (Public Health), SDSU (Public Health), ASU (Public Health), University of Arizona (Public Health), assorted CSUs

Waitlisted: LMU (Biology), UCSC (Biology)

Denied: CPP (Biology), UCI (Public Health), UCSB (Pharmaceutical Science), RPI (Biology), Occidental (Biology)(EDII)

Waiting: UC Berkeley (Public Health), UCSD (Microbiology), UCLA (Biology), USC (Lifespan Health), Pepperdine (Biology)

GENERAL COMMENTS:
I was surprised to be admitted into CPSLO and UCD if I’m being honest given my poor academic history. I can’t but help feel as if I stole someone else’s spot and I don’t really deserve the spot. Even considering the special circumstances in my personal life, many people worked just as hard with how difficult the world has been recently. Still, I hope to get into USC, my top choice but if not, I’d be more than ecstatic to attend one of these fine schools. Best of luck to everyone and stay safe:)
