Greetings all! Sorry for making my first post rather cliche, but I found out the following just after office hours and now have to wait all weekend to contact someone :(

I have been accepted (transfer from out-of-state CC) to UC Davis and my chosen major. One of the conditions of admission to both the school and the major is that I earn a B or better in linear algebra. I was taking the class when I applied. I ended up with a C+.

As you can imagine, I'm a little concerned. I was taking four classes at the time and got two A+s and a B+ in the other three. My GPA is ~3.55. The offending class will not be offered again before fall.

Any insight on how this may affect my admission?

I’m kind of in a similar situation, I just got accepted to UCD. I’ve been slacking off this semester thinking that I would only need to pass my classes but they said I need to earn an A in Stats to keep my admissions. Since you can’t do much of anything until the weekend is over, you might as well try not to worry about it too much. Maybe give your school’s transfer advisor and UCD admissions both a call and see what you can come up with. Good luck!

Trying not to worry too much Good luck to you too!

If you were already accepted, I believe you just need to maintain a C…UNLESS it specifically states on your admissions agreement, that you NEED a certain grade for a particular class…But if you received a C, last semester and you updated your application with that grade, then they would have already seen the grade, and would have made a decision if something needed to be done.

Well, under “Conditions of Admission” on MyAdmissions, it specifically states:

MATH 205 is the course I’m concerned about. The class was “in progress” at the time of the UC Application Update. The class ended last month. I ended up with a C+.
