UC Davis condition of admission

Hello folks I got the following message for conditions of admission:

Maintain Academic Performance

Complete all transferable in progress or planned courses with a GPA of 3.20 or higher, with no grade less than “C,” by the end of your spring term. To achieve the minimum overall UC-transferable grade point average required, you may need to achieve higher than “C” grades. In addition, you must be in good standing at each collegiate institution that you have attended.

Note: You may verify the courses that have been determined transferable by viewing your transfer credit summary at MyAdmissions.

Does this refer to the semester GPA or overall GPA

my overall gpa is over 3.2 for sure.

will my admission be revoked if i get say a 3.o semester GPA?

Please and thank you

It refers to your in progress and planned courses, those must be completed with at least C grades, but ALSO they have to total to a 3.2 GPA for the semester. That’s why it says you’ll probably need better than C grades. Also I would check your transfer credit summary as they suggest (Course Credit History on the portal) as I’ve met a few people with small errors in it, like they accidentally marked non-transferrable on a transferrable class, put one down twice, etc.

It doesn’t mean your admission will be for sure revoked of course if you get less than a 3.2, but you are in danger of it being revoked in that case. It’s up to their discretion.

@zerglingdude @anaguiano
I have the same question. I TAG for engineering and maybe i will get less than 3.3 for the winter and spring quarter. However, my overall GPA will be higher than 3.3.
I was told by admission that it means overall GPA, not quarter GPA.
Should i believe them ?

@jelmax001 TAG agreements are different from admission conditions, my answer was attempting to clarify the quote that the OP put in their question.
