UC Davis Conditions of Admission - Comp Sci

Hi, I’m a computer science major that has sent in my SIR for UC Davis and they say I need a 3.4GPA in a series of two classes. I’ve gotten an A in one of the classes but I may end up with a C in the other one because it’s a logic class, there’s only one section at my school, and it’s taught by a teacher that I’m pretty sure has tenure because it really seems like he doesn’t care. It’ll be my only C that I’ve ever gotten in a computer science class, will I get rescinded for it? Should I cancel my SIR for Davis and do it for Santa Cruz instead? Also, if it means anything, they’re adding two more classes to that series for next year and I’ve gotten A’s in both those classes which would put me at a 3.5 GPA for that series.

Thanks

What is your question? You’re over 3.4.

@Ohm888 Those requirements are for Fall 2018, so they don’t apply for this year’s transfers. I’m not sure that if I showed them that they would choose not to rescind me. I just want to see if anyone had any experience with explaining a lower grade to UCD or any other school.

Why are you even worrying about fall 2018 rules? You seemed to say your req for fall 2017 were two classes - 3.4.

I thought it might be something that could matter if they wanted me to explain my grade, I meet the requirements for Fall 2018 with those other two classes that they added to the current series of two classes that I might not get the 3.4 in this semester. @Ohm888
