I was looking up courses that I will have to take in the course catalog UC Davis. I'm an econ major so I'm required to take two calculus classes. My choices are Math 16A and 16B or Math 21A and 21B. My question is, what is the difference between the 16 series (short calculus) and the 21 series (Calculus)? Also, which series would you recommend me taking?

Short Calculus is less in-depth as the regular series. So depending on whether or not you’re a math person, I believe the regular series would be more beneficial for you. But if you’re not a math person, you should be able to complete upper division courses just fine with the less in-depth version of calc.

I am also an econ major. So if you ever do have any questions, you can ask me. But I am not 100% right all the time lol. I just read the stuff a lot cause I get bored.

The 21 series is intended for science majors

Thanks guys I think I will be taking the 21 series
