Once you login for the 2013-2014 year, click on "Requirements" in the upper left corner. What does your guys' status say for "Admissions Application Decision"? Last year (and the year before that), if it said "Satisfied" you were either accepted or put on the waitlist. If its said "Not Satisfied" you were rejected.

Obviously its a bit early for that right now though, I'm guessing the vast majority of people are gonna have the "Not Satisfied" status since we still have a month until decisions come out (April 19th are what some sources are saying). There were several people last year whose statuses changed to "Satisfied" at the last moment.

Either way, what does your guys' status say? Does anyone have a "Satisfied" status? Mine says "Not Satisfied". Also, post your stats if you do have "Satisfied"!

^Yeap, it’s definitely a bit early. I just posted this thread now because today’s the day that the Financial Aid Office granted access for applicants to view the 2013-2014 FAFSA status (it wasn’t available yesterday). If anyone’s status changes over the next few days/weeks (which it will), let us know!

YEAH! I noticed that too, the 2013-2014 wasn’t available for me when I looked a few days ago but now they just added it. Thanks for mentioning this tip to us though! Hopefully most of us can know a bit earlier of when we get accepted!

Here is the problem with this. When clicking under the “Admissions” portion of it. It states that it will be updated with Satisfied once the SIR is submitted therefore you are likely to find out on the official UCD portal rather than through here.

What this means is that Davis won’t actually process our financial aid for and give us an official number on grants/loans until we SIR to the campus. This makes sense because no university wants to/can apportion aid money until they actually know who’s going to be attending their campus.

The key thing to note here is the first line. Processing refers to the actions the Financial Aid Office must make in order to actually release aid money to students who have SIRed to Davis. However, the “Satisfied” status is shown if the student has actually been admitted to the campus. This is how it was back in 2011, 2012 and possibly earlier years as well.

I didn’t apply for financial aid this year because I would just get loans and my parents decided they didn’t want it. The message I have on MyAwards is “To be considered for financial aid, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).” Etc.

The “requirements” button isn’t there in the upper left corner or anywhere else. Does this mean I won’t be able to find out my decision early because I didn’t submit a FAFSA if Davis does the same thing this year? :(

Nope. I was looking through last year’s thread and people starting noticing changes around April 9th-17th. There were people who had their statuses change at the very last moment too (like a day before the official decisions came out). So I wouldn’t start panicking about this yet.
