UC Davis Decision on MyAwards

I looked thru the thread for 2011’s applicants and their FAFSA status started changing around the 13th (check out post #80):

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1107884-uc-davis-acceptance-6.html

So start checking your FAFSA statuses this week, they should start changing in a few very short days! :D

@cinnabon Does everyone get it at the same time?

Oh gosh I’ve been checking my account more than once a day for the past week. I’m depending on you guys to update me about your financial aid status changing! It’ll be a relief when I find out that those who do not have access to the appeals page also have “Satisfied” for the financial aid.

@ghilijiang: I don’t think so. :frowning: There’s people in that thread who had their statuses change on the 17th as well. But its definitely bound to change atleast two days before the 19th.

@mintyy: LOL me too! I’ve been really really excited since Tuesday when we found this trick, but now I’m starting to sink back into my doubts again. What if people with the appeals page get the “Satisfied” message? What if people with the “sorry” message have their statuses stuck to “Not Satisfied” when the 19th comes around?

None of this stuff should happen though, I’m just being paranoid. This trick seems pretty darn accurate to me.

I don’t think checking the financial aid status even matters at this point. The appeal trick has already been confirmed by UCD anyway. I’m more worried about getting waitlisted.

Yeah, but the FAFSA trick will just reinforce the appeal trick. The more proof we have, the more confident we can be when the 19th rolls in. And keep in mind that Davis didn’t explicitly state that the appeals form was a leak. They heavily implied it though, by asserting that only rejected applicants would be able to access the appeals form.

@cinnabon

could it be: “satisfied” + “sorry” = officially accepted

“Not satisfied” + “sorry” = waitlisted

“not satisfied” + “appeal form” = rejected

“satisfied” + “appeal form” = never happened

just like mendel’s experiment?

@ghiblijiang Same here, last year I believe UC Davis did not accept anyone from the waitlist due to space :/

@tcccom: “Not satisfied” + “sorry” is not the same as being waitlisted. People who were waitlisted had the “Satisfied” message for the FAFSA trick last year. And if it ends up being the last one… well, sucks for us lol.

I’ll eat my own shorts if this appeal trick doesn’t mean anything. I mean, its too conclusive as of right now.

@mintyy: Wasn’t that only for freshmen? Or was that for transfers too?

@cinnabon “I’ll eat my own shorts” man you are funny,lol

I think this trick apparently makes sense cuz ms sun also posted this on her blog after you told her, which means it was highly confirmed.

@tcccom limk please. =]

Ms sun is just spreading the word, doesn’t really confirm it. But I still believe it works.

excuse me, just an irrelevent question, how do u guys type in the facial expressions? the colored face

@cinnabon1234 I just skimmed through Ms Sun’s blog and you’re correct; they were for freshmen. I kept reading and noticed that Davis didn’t update all of the waitlisted transfers until early July though! She didn’t post a conclusive follow-up for waitlisted transfers.

@tcccom: :smiley: :slight_smile: :(

^ whoaaaaaaaa

:d .
