Yay it’s now satisfied!! :D

Now with UCSC and UCD both confirmed as backups, the decision from Cal on April 26th looms ever closer. :D

@tcccom: No sorry, you can’t view the FAFSA trick without a FAFSA.
I knew i wouldnt get any money but applied for the FAFSA just so that I could access this trick LOL.

Hmm… Mine is blank - it doesn’t say satisfied or not satisfied.

@cinnabon yea, now I just wish the appeal-form trick could work. Did somebody get the “satisfied” along with the appeal form?

Although I have not heard from UCSC or UCSB, I already think I get rejected since most Econ-major applicants have got their decisions. It seems that Davis is the last straw for me. :o

@pacioso: Look at my first post on the previous page and tell us what you see for your status then. :)

@tcccom: Don’t worry, I’m 99.9999% sure the appeal technique works.

Well i looked on my FAFSA last week and it said my application wasnt complete. As soon as i completed it and checked this week not only was my fafsa now complete but the UCDavis website also said that my admissions status was " satisfied" on the FAFSA website. I don`t think this is coincidence though.

I also looked at the 2011 admission link that you posted and it seemed that people on that thread didn
t completely believe that just because they got they had their status as a satisfied that they got into davis. There were also more things that led me to not be completely certain about this trick.
Lastly, there are alot of people who seem to be getting the " satisfied" or " only non-admittied" messages which makes me even a bit more skeptical. It seems to me like 80% of the invidividuals on this post that tried the trick got the “satiesfied” or " sorry only non-admitted" which seems like a high percentage to me.
I know i
m being quite skeptical but i believe me i would love to know that this trick with all certainty works because i got the satisfied message and also " only nonadmitted students can appeal" messages.

SATISFIED!!! omg omg omg

Mine is saying nothing. I do need to send a photocopy of my U.S. Citizenship paper though. So that’s where it says “Not satisfied”

^Dude go look at the section that the “Admissions Application Decision” is under. It says “Satisfied Global Requirements (required for all funds)”. No one’s says “Satisfied” next to “Admissions Application Decision”, it’s simply under the “Satisfied” section which is what we’re talking about. See it?

I think that actually *is* a coincidence because today's the day that the status started changing for us. If you signed the FAFSA last week, then it would've taken a few days for them to process it, which would allow it to coincide with today's release of the FAFSA.

Where did you see that? Here’s the thread from 2012:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1325850-teamucdavis2012-acceptance-thread-11.html

If you look through the final decisions posts, you’ll see that everyone who had the “Satisfied” message was admitted.

Again, go back to that thread I just posted up there and look through it. The vast majority of the people said that they have the “Satisfied” message last year too. I think this is mainly because people don’t like posting that they have the “Not Satisfied” message because they think its insulting or whatever. We actually had quite a few “Not Satisfied” people on this thread itself and they had relatively lower GPAs than the people with “Satisfied” messages.

Haha don’t worry, I get how you’re feeling right now. I’m just as anxious as you are, but I really really feel that the appeal form + the FAFSA trick together are really really suggesting a pretty obvious conclusion for us to make. And like I said before, we’ll find out whether or not our speculation was true come next Friday. Until then, all we can do is wait.

I think I am satisfied?

When I click on Requirements, I have a heading that says “Satisfied Global Requirements (required for all funds)” and underneath it, it says “Admissions application decision” and “Free financial aid application.” Is this what we’re talking about? Am I probably in? What’s happening?

I bet you’re all waitlisted.

Chelsie that means it’s a good sign!

It means both things were satisfied!

I’m glad that I received the Sorry message and the Satisfied Requirement thing. WJDHJWHDJH: :)

Ghibli </3

Is there anybody who tagged got “Satisfied”??

@ cinabon
Did you specifically look at the individuals who got accepted and went back in the thread to see whether they had the " satisfied" or " sorry only non-admitted" messages to determine that a majority of these admitted students on that thread had the " satisfied" or " sorry only non-admitted"?
Also, some individuals like waterox have something missing in their fasfa and its still " not satisfied" so could that possibly support my argument ?
I think it would be cool if you went over the " UC Davis admission thread" that you posted a while ago because i saw some things that swayed me to not believe in the trick. I`ll scan over it again and show you some examples. Nontheless, i hope this trick is true so badly haha.

wait… would waitlisted students have the financial aid satisfied too…? lol

@basedgodomg415:

Yes, waitlisted students would have “Satisfied” too. There’s no way to differentiate between accepted and waitlisted students unfortunately. :/

@joker93:

No, it’s on the thread that I posted. I actually gave you a link to the page in the thread where they were talking about being accepted with the “Satisfied” messages. Check the 4th post and below on the page that I linked you to. They clear say that they got accepted with both being “Satisfied”.

I believe that your situation and waterox’s situation are similar but it doesn’t have anything to do with the actual status change. People with TAG haven’t had their statuses change yet and I think waterox TAG’d (correct me if I’m wrong). Either way, some people have their statuses changed and some people don’t so we can’t really base your theory off that.

And the only thing that I see that seems kinda iffy is that fact that people with “Satisfied” may have been waitlisted. But we established that early on in the thread so it’s not an issue right here.

@ghiblijiang:

Check this post out: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1335089-official-fall-2013-uc-transfer-chance-thread-2.html#post14553191

He/she got waitlisted to Bio with a 3.2 GPA and they didn’t have the O-chem series done (they said so in another post).

So if I see “Admissions application decision” under “Satisfied Global Requirements” (with no status on the right side), that’s a good sign?

I TAG’d and my status changed to “Satisfied” and I have the “sorry” message
