UC Davis Decision on MyAwards

^Ahh okay then, scratch out my theory. It makes no sense lol.

And yes, you may be right. Are there any 3.2+ GPA people out there who have the “Sorry” message along with the “Not Satisfied” message? What’re your majors?

How many transfers do they waitlist per year on avg?

Last year, I believe it was 618 transfers on the waitlist and ~7000 accepted. The enrollment target was 2800 and about 300 people accepted a spot on the waitlist. I have no idea how many people were actually accepted from the waitlist, but seems like quite a few got in!

Check this thread out:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-davis/1340364-ucd-transfer-waitlist.html

If you look at the last few posts on page 2, you’ll see that I actually asked one of the posters, what their stats were (this was almost a year ago, back when I was first starting out with this whole transfer process lol). What really really surprised me was that he/she (Ohaiyaz) had received a “D” in one of their prereq classes during the Fall and had still been placed on the waitlist. Normally, a failing grade in a prereq class, especially during your final Fall quarter would be an automatic rejection at the other UCs. But Davis actually waitlisted them, which goes to show how lenient the campus is towards transfers. :slight_smile: (Ohaiyaz was later rejected off the waitlist, but he/she had retaken the failed class during Spring and received an “A” so he/she appealed and eventually got into Davis).

So don’t lose hope guys! Admissions to Davis for transfer applicants isn’t as brutal as it seems!

This probably explains why someone i heard of who got F for one of the prerequisites from the Fall semester, but is still able to see the sorry message.

@cinnabon That gave me so much hope. I’m going to UCD fo sho if I do get accepted.

@yymbio: Do you know which major that person applied to? I’m assuming that Davis is only lenient like that to people who applied to an unimpacted major. Also, do you happen to know his/her GPA?

sorry guys, i have to use this to fulfill the 15 posts requirement for the PM.

What does an appeal form and a satisfied fafsa mean? First time applying to Davis.

^^^ Did you even bother reading the thread?? The first page should answer your question.

Yes I read it but the fafsa method is telling me that I’m possibly admitted and the appeal form implies a rejection. So yes I did read it.

@ac40507

We’re all probably as skeptical as you.

Yeah this is just confusing and worrying me

^ There’s always UCM?

^hahahaha see you there :wink: jk jk

@ac40507

Is it for real that you REALLY get “satisfied” with appeal form?

Screenshot it.

He said satisfied “FAFSA”. I’m guessing your decision status isn’t satisfied?

I wanna see this too o-o

@hopingtoxsfer makes sense.

@ac40507 can you post the screen shot of your FALSA?

@cinnabon Wow, that gave me so much hope if I get waitlisted.

On a side note I checked out the campus last Friday and loved it. :slight_smile: I’ve never seen so many bikes in my life, haha.
