UC Davis Decision on MyAwards

@ cinnabon1234 : in the morning today. Don’t worry, you’re all gonna get in :)

@tcccom

Yes, I have a blank page that states “appealing denials.”

@cinnabon @riot75

oh i see… well, they only blocked the appeal trick… hmm… speechless. :o

@csfuture sorry to hear for your friends, wish them good luck and hope they get into other UCs they want.

Hahaha, so that means that the Admissions Office shut down the appeal form sometime today afternoon.

You know what guys? It kinda gives me a certain type of savage pleasure to think that we’ve, in a way, outsmarted the Admissions Office. Definitely makes up for the brutal rejection that I received last year in high school, hehe. SUCKAAAS. >: D

^ their action actually makes me believe this trick works. Let’s assume, if it does not make sense, why do they even bother to fix this trick? ;)

I think some people submitted their appealing form before decision —> UC Davis found out -----> fix the appealing site -----> no one able see it .

@CSfuture: If that’s true… I have no words for that person. That’s a fail that’s epicly out of proportions of any fail that I’ve ever seen/ever will see in my life. =_____=

I’m sorry Fall 2014 Transfer people (who will no doubt be reading this thread in the future)… I don’t think the Appeal form trick will work for you. :/

@Cinnabon : dont worry about it, I think they’ll find someway somehow anyway

Hahaha I’m not worried, I find it awfully hilarious that someone would actually submit an appeal without even receiving their official decision. xD And there’s always the FAFSA trick, that’s gonna be around forever.

its not an actual given that a person submitted an appeal form. I believe that CSFuture was just speculating. If that was the case though, thats ridiculous.

Someone actually confessed to me around 20 mins ago via PM (not gonna reveal their name, based on their request), that they did in fact submit an appeal form a few days ago. Don’t know if they’re just trolling or what, but it would explain why Davis suddenly shut down the Appeals page.

Pingo !!! :)

^ I think they will re-open the appealing site once the decisions are out. But at that time, this trick will be void.

Kudos to whoever figured out the “trick.” I will buy you a beer when we get to Davis, assuming you are 21, if not, I am getting you a nice cold juice box.

^@mintyy

AND GUESS WHAT GUYS? Davis just went a step further and removed the appeal form for last year’s rejection (for me). Last night, when I checked, I used to get the blank page for Fall 2013’s appeal. However, I still received the Appeal form for Fall 2012 (last year).

This morning, I woke up and checked again. This is what I have for this year’s app (Fall 2013):

http://s9.postimg.org/a56m5karz/PWNED2.png

And this is what last year’s appeal (Fall 2012) changed to:

http://s22.postimg.org/5bi9b8gdt/PWNED.png

Hehe, looks to me like the Admissions Office is getting pretty uncomfortable with having the appeals stuff out there. This can only mean that the trick we found is actually correct and that’s why they pulled the plug on this stuff. I really can’t see Davis being bothered enough to change that stuff if it didn’t mean anything. Haha!

Or they’re starting reject some ppl that had the sorry message :O!!

^I highly doubt it. If they’re rejecting people who had the sorry message, then that would mean that our trick was completely wrong. And if our trick was wrong, I really don’t think that they would go through the trouble of changing the appeals page to a “blank” screen. I mean, think about it… the fact that they put up a blank screen rather than an actual message: that by itself seems kinda of ominous and suggestive to me lol.

And there’s also the FAFSA trick to back us up. So far, no one with the appeals form has received a “Satisfied” FAFSA (I know that a few people claimed that this was the case, but no one ever posted screenshots, so I have doubts on their credibility).

So it’s safe to say UC Davis blocked the appeals loophole we had going on. Welp I guess we’ll just have to wait until the 19 to really know if we got in! Good luck guys!

Yeah they blocked the loophole, but not before we found out about it! :smiley:

And damn, 500 posts already, I never expected this thread to get so long.

lol damn @cinnabon u have really been on this thread 24/7!! haha
