UC Davis Decision on MyAwards

I’m glad that to whoever found this made a lot of people happy, Including myself. I feel really bad for the people who did get the appeal form though, but on the positive note, this means you have more time to write an appeal essay!

I get the “sorry” message.
I did the TAG to Computer Science and Engineering
GPA of 3.65.
IGETC completed.
I dont think there is a reason to get rejected.

@cinnabon
I TAGed to Davis as well. The Financial Aid Status says “Not Satisfied” and I also get the “Sorry, only non-selected students can appeal their decision”. That adds to the theory.

I also don’t see why they would hesitate at this point if they have already reviewed my stats and profile back in September when I did the TAG. As long as one maintains the TAG requirements, you’re golden!

Sigh… Hope they have already finished that dang review. The most miserable thing in this world is not you get your car crushed, but the next day you wake up, and you find that you get that **** appeal form while today it still appears the “Sorry” message…

^

.

@tcccom: Wait, did your’s suddenly change to the appeals form??

I just got an E-mail from Davis about programs and things! Did anyone get it too?

Nope, I didn’t get anything yet.

HOWEVER, I contacted Ms. Sun and told her about the leak that we found. She said that Transfer evaluations have been finished for over a month now (they start in the beginning of February and finish in about a month). Which means that people with the “sorry” message don’t have to worry about their message changing to the appeals form! tcccom, you’re safe man, don’t sweat it.

Oh my god! Thats good news thanks Cinnabon! LOL If I had to room with anybody here it would be you. You seem so helpful. LOL

I applied for Clinical Nutrition with a 3.0 from a CCC.
Unsatisfied for FA MyAwards.
The appeal portal says “Sorry, only non-selected applicants can appeal their decision”.

Imagine if Davis notices this thread and closes the loophole by changing everyone’s page to an Appeal Form. That would cause a massive panic wave LOL.

“Yeah, uh sorry guys, we didn’t accept any transfers this year. Zero. Nada. Zilch.”

I get the “Sorry, only non-selected applicants can appeal their decision.” 3.24 gpa poli sci major

Link to check since it’s a few pages back now:

“Sorry, only non-selected applicants can appeal their decision.” 3.4 Math Major, Tagged

I showed the appeal link to one of my friends back in highschool that went to a CC and he didn’t get in DX I feel so bad

I also don’t have a TAG. I’m thinking I might be waitlisted, but I’m gonna visit the campus anyway.

@ Cinnabon Lol, that’d be a nightmare. By the way, thanks for the useful information.

@ChronoCross: What were your friends’ stats, if you don’t mind me asking?

@cmccl91: mintyy was the one who found this trick first, he/she deserves the credit, but thanks!

I didn’t ask himm, I’m guessing he applied to an impacted major with a 3.XX GPA that needed to be higher. He got into UCSC and UCSB though

Wow I thought ucsb is harder to get into than ucd.

@ghib Why would that be? In terms of ranking, UCD is ranked higher than UCSB…

It also depends on what major they applied to. I doubt if Psych, Bio, and International Relations are as impacted at SB as they are at Davis. And there could be a lot of other factors that we don’t know about.

Generally speaking from last year’s thread though, SB is tougher to get in than Davis. Davis has always been the “easier” mid-tier to get in. Case in point, people have gotten into Davis with 2.9s, 3.0s, and 3.1s… I haven’t seen a single person get into SB this year with a sub 3.2 GPA (someone correct me if I’m wrong here).
