@ryanbentley what’s your gpa and major

@deluxe 3.24 history

@cinnabon Thanks for contacting to confirm everything! Now we can be relaxed for a while. But I still won’t be fully relieved until the decision finally comes out. A roasted duck can still fly away. Let’s hope for the best!

^Haha I completely get you. We should be fine though, this stuff has been pretty darn conclusive so far.

Everyone, keep checking your FAFSA status on a daily basis and let us know when it starts changing. To recap, these are the two loopholes that have been found so far:

Appeals Method:

Go here and login: <a href=“CAS – Central Authentication Service”>CAS – Central Authentication Service;

If you have a message that says “Sorry, only non-selected applicants can appeal their admission decision”, then you have either been admitted or have been placed on the waitlist. If it displays a form that says “May I appeal my denial of admission”, you have probably been rejected.

FAFSA Method

Go here and login: <a href=“CAS – Central Authentication Service”>CAS – Central Authentication Service;

Select “2013/2014” for the Academic Year.

Enter your student ID (should be in the confirmation email that you got from UC Davis way back in December).

Enter your date of birth and hit “Log in”.

Click on “Requirements” in the upper left corner.

Look for “Admissions application decision”. If it says “Satisfied”, you’ve either been admitted or placed on the waitlist. If it says “Not Satisfied”, you’ve probably been rejected.

**NOTE: **The FAFSA trick currently shows “Not satisfied” for everyone as of today (4/6/2013). Last year (and the year before that), it started changing around 3 or 4 days before official decisions came. The Appeals Method is up to date however, and is an accurate indicator of your admission status.

You’re awesome cinnabon. You too mintyy. Good luck everyone!! I’m rooting for you all!

To add some more info about the FAFSA method…

I did not file a FAFSA, and when I go to the MyAwards page where you other guys are seeing the “satisfied” or “not-satisfied,” I just get this:

"To be considered for financial aid, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is not required for non-need scholarship consideration.

As of today we have not received your file from Federal Student Aid. Please make sure of the following"… yadda yadda yadda.

There are no links for “Requirements” or anything else except a log out button.

If anyone else who has not filed a FAFSA wants to compare results, there ya go.
Btw, I am part of the group getting the “Sorry” message in appeals.

I got the “sorry only non selected applicants…” for the appeal
and also the “not satisfied” for financial aid
sooo…contradicting?

I can’t find out the financial aid part because I didn’t bother applying for financial aid. #TooRich #1%er

I’m jk…I figured too much serious talk was going on in here

@xcballin We should get drinks at the yacht club sometime.

@ryanbentley: Read the note that I put at the bottom of my previous post:

The Financial Aid office won’t be receiving admission decisions until the actual week when we find out our official decision. That’s why it says it’s “Not Satisfied”. And no, this isn’t contradictory because the Financial Aid office is not up-to-date on admissions. Keep checking for the next couple of days/weeks though. If all our speculation on this thread is correct, everyone with the “sorry” message should see their Financial Aid status change to “Satisfied” by the 19th. If it stays at “Not Satisfied” and you have the “sorry” message (I highly doubt this is gonna happen)… then I guess we just wasted 12 pages worth of discussion for nothing LOL.

LOL and on a side note, we should probably make a thread for the official decisions soon… that’ll be a LOT easier for next year’s transfers to find rather than having to dig up official decisions on this thread. :P

@cinnabon ooop I’m dumb. sorry lol x)

Apparently you’re not dumb enough to be rejected from Davis. I’d say that’s a damn good indicator of you being smart hehe. :D

I should stop refreshing collegeconfidential and get going to study my 2 exams on monday.

I’m just wondering if one of us becomes one of the first people to have Satisfied on Myawards does this mean we are in for sure? Or a potential wait lister? Because I know you mentioned people later on become unsatisfied to satisfied later than others, and Im guessing those were the wait list people right?

I don’t think there’s any particular order to the Satisfied and Not Satisfied messages. At least I’m not aware of anything like that.

Let’s hope we’re all waitlisted.

Lol wut? 10char

GHIBLI YOU SO FUNNAY lawl

Watch ghiblijiang’s gonna be the only one on this thread getting waitlisted. Oh, what a fateful twist of irony that would be. :P

^ haha , we have to show some mercy to ghibli, he has been rejected from UCR.
