7 more days left! XT But wow, they have 75,000 applicants this year…

Thank you @ljmom

Do the notifications become available at 12:01, do they send out an email, or do we just check the portal all day on the 14th? Does anyone know how this works?

Daphne guessing like maybe 3 pm or 5 or 6 pm? Maybe 7? No idea that’s how it usually works tho and I would assume on our online portal

All I can say is, no matter when Davis posts their admission decisions, I really hope I get in. Unlike Santa Cruz, Irvine, and Santa Barbara, there really doesn’t seem to be any indicator before decision time as to whether I’m in or not, so I’m holding my breath…

I think I read a reference on the Davis site that stated they would be arriving at 5 p.m. I’ll try to locate where I read that!

The decisions are being released this Friday the 14th after 5pm, per the recorded phone message I listened to this morning. Says to check your portal after 5pm. Here is UCD # if you want to hear for yourself.

I think you two have a good shot at UCD, but as I always say, stats and extracurricular activities aren’t everything…

@collegeamateur
what else is there besides stats and extracurricular activities?
The essay is not a large, deciding factor in the resulting decision

Well, there are things outside of your control, and while they don’t happen very often, sometimes that guy with the strong GPA, SAT score, and extracurricular activities doesn’t get in. I know two people that had 4.0+ GPAs, 2100+ SAT scores, volunteer work, and decent essays. Didn’t get into UC Davis. As I mentioned earlier, this doesn’t happen very often, and I don’t encourage you to start freaking out because of two cases, but I don’t want to guarantee anything based solely on stats and extracurriculars either. That’s why I always say stats and extracurricular activities aren’t everything when I chance someone.

And on the other side, my sibling with a 3.8 and 1600 sat got in to davis two years ago.

@ljmom what information did they send and when? was there any indicators of admission sent out? i didnt get anything

Admission wiill be sent tomorrow based on announcements and threads I have seen

It also depends on how many qualified students from your high school are applying. There are so many students from my daughter’s high school that apply and are qualified to be admitted, that not all are accepted, just because they can only accept a certain number or percentage from each school. That could explain why those students with those great scores don’t’ get in.

Decision time tomorrow! I’m so nervous!

Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know what time tomorrow?

I heard it was 5pm!
