Hello. I am a high school freshmen and I’ve always wanted to go to UC Davis. I want to get major in Biomedical Engineering (bachelor’s degree) and I would like to know GPAs of students who got admitted into that major. Any and all other advice would be much appreciated!

BME is probably the most competitive engineering major at UC Davis and probably all the UC’s. Work on getting an GPA of 4.0+ (Weighted) and SAT of 2200+ or ACT of 32+ to have a good chance. Any EC’s directly related to the major will definitely help. Also focus on the essays the summer of your Senior year. Good Luck!

^^ I second that. Definitely get at least a 4.0 unweighted GPA and take a lot of AP courses (as many as you can handle, but not to the point where it’s too much that you can’t earn as many A’s as you’d like). Remember, sophomore and junior year are the most important years that UCs consider, so stay focused and work hard.

@Gumbymom @UCadmitted Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
