**UC Davis Fall 2013 Transfer Decisions**

safety for Cal

Do we know whether the decision will be released on the 18th or 19th? What time?

I heard 19th at around 3-5PM.

And that’s all decisions right? Regardless of acceptance, rejection or waitlist?

^I believe most people find out if they’re waitlisted or accepted on the 19th. Some rejections will be out but not all. Quite a few rejections will go out over the next few days or so (all this is based on last year’s pattern).

Last year my friend got his acceptance on the 20th though.

That was last year lol. Decisions are released every year on the Friday of the 3rd week of April. They do this so that people don’t bombard the Admissions office with phone calls the moment decisions come out (the office releases admissions at 4pm which is when it also closes. Plus, it’s a Friday so the office is closed for the weekend).

oh… i see i see.

Super excited.

That’s a smart move! Good luck to everyone.

Woooot! So excited!!! Gl guys

2 more days! And let’s keep the conversation going on this thread (continued from http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1473841-uc-davis-decision-myawards.html</a>) while we wait for Friday afternoon. Leave that other thread just for discussion about the tricks we found. :p

Righto, moving my butt to this thread.

I do ponder something, if I dont meet the requirements for TAG (IE GPA falling below 3.2 requirement) after I get my TAG approved, do I still get considered as a normal applicant?

^Yeap, your TAG will be void, but they’ll consider you as a regular applicant. What I don’t understand is this though:

If your GPA falls below 3.2 by the end of this year, what do they do then? You’ll have gotten into Davis by that time and they’ll be expecting you to stick to your TAG requirements. Would they just rescind you at that point (hope not)?

Thats what Im worried about. I somewhat overloaded (To fulfill requirements for multiple schools) and Im not sure if I can maintain a 3.2 (I only have a 3.3-3.4, so its very dangerous). Worst comes to worst, if I get rejected for UCLA, I might drop the classes thats not needed for Davis (IE Polisci1) just to take the load off.

Hopefully they dont rescind me. That would be D E V A S T A T I N G.

Just call them and ask them man. Davis is super duper understanding when it comes to transfers. I failed a class during Winter quarter (it wasn’t a major prereq or anything) and I told them that I was retaking it this quarter (Spring). They basically told me that they wouldn’t rescind me as long as I passed the class this quarter and that they would simply “pretend” like the F never happened (it wouldn’t even be calculated into the final GPA they see over the summer when they review transcripts). So yeah, just call them up and all will be well. :D

Not sure if this counts as a “trick” but I registered for summer sessions at UC Davis as a non Davis student and they accepted my application. They also gave me the same UC ID as the one given to me for my Fall 2013 application! I’m not sure if it means anything, but the information that they could link together from both applications are my name, email and social security number. They didn’t ask whether I applied for fall 2013 or not.

It also took them a week to send out a confirmation about summer session for me so anyone who wants to test it should just wait until Friday instead for actual decisions :)

Regardless, just thought it was interesting and wanted to share! My anxiety has been at an all-time high this week.

Yay more people are on here! I’m loving how everyone says hella in these threads. I was on the UCSB transfer thread and noooone used it.
Norther Cali feels :)

Northern **

That’s hella cool.
