Any Regents?
Waitlisted.
GPA 3.1
Communications major.
Pre reqs: all done
I got in last year with nearly the same stats but then couldnt go because i didnt finish 1 pre req. I’m really confused with their admission process this year with all these 3.5+ gpa’s getting rejected/waitlisted.
@lindyk8 : Do you have any suggestions as to how to better our chances or what we can do to prep?
How do you guys know what gpa you have to maintain to keep the waitlist spot? I dont see it on myadmissions for me. 0-0
@FUTUREUCLABRUIN1 Did you get Regents?
Are you waitlisted @penguinluver ? Not much you can do but wait it out.
Did anyone get regents? Do they notify us later or something?
@lindyk8 : Yes I am waitlisted! Darn ok
Does Davis send acceptance packets? Just curious because I’m totally freaking stoked xD
They all do.
@doitformadden Unfortunately I don’t think so… if we were chosen, we’d know by now:(
@sliceoflife24 I’m not sure. How do you know if I know if I receive it?

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected (strengths/weaknesses): Strong GPA, all major pre-reqs were completed, IGETC completed, decent amount of extracurriculars that applied to my intended major, decent essays.
Applied: CSUF, UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCB, UCLA, Cornell
Accepted: CSUF, UCSD, UCI w/ Regents, UCD, UCLA
Rejected: n/a
Waiting: UCB, Cornell
Provisional award letter makes the cost of going to Davis for me around 8500/yr. That is not including stafford loans. Compared with UCLA at 9,346 a year. Hard to decide between the two. Davis has my program, but UCLA has prestige, is local, and where I already have established connections.
Accepted
One year transfer
Major: Political Science
GPA:4.0
Igetc: yes
Pre Reqs: yes
Admitted: UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCSC
Rejected:UCSB
Pending: UCB
decisions decisions haha…
My Davis net cost is only $3,500 a year…very promising and i’ll graduate with a ton less debt. And is also a great campus. Calm, cool, collective vibe.
My UCSB net cost is $9,500 a year…but i totally love the area of SB from what i’ve seen.
Still yet to visit both (visiting Davis on may 15th and SB on may 22nd) so i’m pretty sure my visitations will play a key role on my decision. But man…Davis financial aid package has me wanting to ride the Aggie horse all the way up to NorCal lol.
My major is sociology…so i’m going to have to see what each school has to offer me apart from the money. So tough so tough…can’t wait to visit em both come may!
Anyone else in this same position as far as financial aid and what not?
