I got bad grades from 1996-1998 in out of state schools, then a 4.0 from 2014 until now. I have transcripts from 6(!) schools, so I never really knew what my GPA was. Davis broke down exactly what transfers and what doesn’t, which is nice - but they didn’t take a Biology class from Fall 2015 that I got an A in.

I already SIR’d to UCSB.

So happy for you @boxandwhiskers !!

@Wadadli thank you! It actually made me totally forget about UCLA releasing decisions.

Waitlisted

Computer Science
GPA 4.0
Tag: NO
Pre-Reqs: missing one or two recommended courses (maybe, because it is not so clear on Assist whether these are required or recommended)
Some friends with 3.8-3.9 are also waitlisted to Davis, maybe because of the same issues.
Suggestion: should check more carefully by calling /emailing them re those required courses.

Accepted : UCSD Computer Science and UCI Computer Science (TAG)
still waiting : UCLA, UCB

Did anyone check their financial aid packages yet?

UC Davis is quite generous for me, ~$26,500 in grants and $5,000 in subsidized loans :o that’s very appealing, like 2K more than UCR/UCSB offered

Wowwwww!!! I got in!!!
Made an account just to share because I thought I had no chance. Hopefully people can see that it’s possible.

Managerial Economics
GPA: 3.2
Major Prep: Missing SIX!!! (Accounting 1&2, Calc 1,2,&3, Comp Sci Intro)
EC: Didnt write any! It was a last minute decision to apply.
Accepted: UCR, UCSB, UCSC, CSUN, CPP, CSUCI.
Rejected: None!
A miracle! I just wanted people to see that I got in without being fully prepared or as qualified as others. Hopefully it wasn’t an error.

This was a curveball and now I don’t know what to do!

ACCEPTED

GPA: 2.93

I am so overjoyed right now!! I took a chance by leaving Cal Poly and it all worked out in the end  Congrats to everyone else who was admitted!!

@ananguiano I got basically the same amount in grants through blue and gold and I guess i’m eligible for work study, which would be awesome to do. I don’t quite understand how it works, is that the amount that I get total and I don’t get anymore financial aid other than that for the next 2 years that i’m there? I’m looking into Student Housing Apartments, which is expensive. Hopefully someone can go over all this with me at Decision Day or Orientation.

@ananguiano
You got yours already?
Damn. I haven’t gotten mine. That’s bs.

@boxandwhiskers How do you know if you’re eligible for work study? I’ve been doing that at my CC for almost 2 years now and would love to continue it at UCD

Nevermind I saw it on the main page -__-

I’m just anxious about financial aid lol.

@napapapa When I looked at my financial aid, I went under ‘budget’ and it says “It looks like you are eligible for work study, we’ll send you information on that in June”

@yakattak did you apply to UCLA or UCB?

ADMITTED!

Guys my Financial aid is available. I got 5k in fed pell grants and 18k grant from university grant Holy FUUUUUUU

@ssnewman I applied to UCLA and got rejected today. I followed the AS-T in business pattern at my CC because I felt that my best chance was to get into a CSU. I took an optional course in applied calculus which ended up articulating to UCD and UCSB, but it doesn’t work for UCLA. I took one look at the articulation agreement between my CC and UCB and figured there was no chance. UCLA was my home run school and I felt that UCSB was a reach. I ended up getting in almost everywhere. I think my veteran status helps.

Wow I get $22K in grants and scholarships.
