UC Davis Fall 2017 Transfer Thread!!!

@Nataliee177 Thanks! Can you access the portal that @ stanufb posted earlier?

@lexluther96 Yea! I tried it earlier and it let me through everything (but I don’t want to get my hopes up lol).

@ lexluther I am not sure if it works for other schools, and to be honest I am not sure that it even is a legit thing that works. I found out about it from someone else who said it would work and the reasoning behind it seems legit, so I thought it would be good to give it a shot. in all honesty though, it probably doesn’t mean much because it seems like everyone is able to get in and i doubt everyone in the thread will be accepted. (no offense to anyone meant at all)

Well if everyone has a GPA above like a 2.9, I feel like they’ll be admitted. I think that’s within UCD’s range. Hmm.

Yoo everyone, try it and let us know if it works!

I tried it and it took me all the way to payment as well

@lexluther96 if only it were that easy… the average GPA that gets accepted into Davis as a transfer is between 3.3-3.7 so its not a definite acceptance if you have a 3.9 or above. Honestly if you don’t have a 3.0 at minimum you will probably not be accepted.

@stanufb Hmm I dunno then. Well 2.9 is still pretty close to 3.3… They read essays, right? I think that will definitely play a factor. I wonder if anyone is unable to access that payment portal.

Major: Psychology
UC GPA: 3.23
Pre-reqs: Will be done by fall
IGETC: Done
EC: Paid by the school as a tutor in the major, Published work in research conferences, and president and VP of service club.
I’ve been ghosting the forums but decided to post my stats just in case it helps anyone lol

@stanufb It gives me options for all the quarters in 2016 and 2017. When I select Fall 2017 it lets me make a housing payment for residence hall…

Obviously I didn’t actually pay anything but maybe you’re right?

@stanufb Nevermind, I just saw all the people that also are able to do this. I mean its possible all of us got accepted but I think its more likely than not that wed have someone who it didn’t work for by now if it means anything

@Tpw417 yeah that is what i was thinking… i kinda doubt that we all got accepted… if only it didnt work for one person… they it would be easier to tell whether it is legit or not haha

Although my GPA is sub 3.0 I’m still staying hopeful since I saw in previous threads that 2.7-2.8 gpas were accepted. So anyone with a low GPA don’t count yourself out!

@BSor19 mine is as well, i’m hoping they read personal statements and take ECs into account

@mmkelly1 yeah I believe they do. I’ve done some research and found at that GPA doesn’t always mean everything when you’re transferring.

I tried it too and got through with no error. Anyone else?? Let us know!!

Also, did anyone else get a call from UCD requesting winter grades? What do you think that means?

I was able to sign in and get through as well

@fashion1996 I did not get a call requesting winter grades… i have no idea what that means… whether that is good or bad im not sure… did you call and ask what it means?!

also, what are your stats like? GPA? etc.

that could be why they asked you as well.

@stanufb I didn’t ask what it means… I was too scared/nervous. But the lady who called me was being very nice and caring I was so confused. My GPA is ok but tbh it went downhill last spring and started going up again in the fall. So maybe they wanted to see my trend? If I’ve improved? Or maybe I’m borderline…? I don’t know… It’s freaking me out.

@fashion1996 I mean if your grades are good then it might not be such a bad thing… im not sure though as I never got a call about my grades which might mean i am just rejected haha

when did they call asking for the winter grades?

@stanufb well my grades were ok but it was for a different major. I recently changed my major so idk maybe they wanted to see how I’m doing for the major I applied for, since they didn’t see many grades for it. Ahhhh.

No!! Don’t say that. You’re not rejected. Stay positive. None of my friends got calls about their winter grades either.

I got a call about a week and a half ago, but my winter grades weren’t even out yet, so they told me to just call back when I have them so I did about a week ago. Luckily, I got a 3.7. In the fall I got a 3.4 so I improved. I hope they see that :frowning:
