Admitted today, but I am not going to accept UCD.
@Metllica57 There is a FAQ about the wait list for transfers and one question and answer say:
Q: How likely is it that I will be admitted to UC Davis from the waitlist?
A: Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict how many students might be admitted from the waitlist. The number of students admitted from the waitlist is entirely determined by the number of student responses to our initial offers of admission. The campus admits students with the expectation that the transfer class will be filled without offering admission to students who accepted the waitlist opportunity.
Here is the whole FAQ https://www.ucdavis.edu/admissions/undergraduate/transfer/waitlist
@Gumbymom do you have any idea if there are any stats about how many transfers typically get in off the wait list?

@CAtransplant: I have been unable to find waitlist stats for transfers for any of the UC’s. They are not part of the CDS like the Freshman stats.
@Not2cool4School - If you want to go to a Top 15 law school, and then work either at an elite law firm or for the U.S. Dept of Justice, go to Berkeley. Elite law, unlike almost any other field, is about prestige, and the more you have, the more opportunities you’ll have.
Of course, Davis is a fine school, and your choice of elite law school is predicated on great college grades and LSAT score (but also the prestige of your undergrad). However, entry into elite law FIRMS (I’m talking the best law firms or U.S. Justice Dept.) is based almost purely on law school grades AND prestige of your law school. It doesn’t mean you’ll make a better lawyer than someone with lesser credentials, but entry into elite law works as I described.
If no Regents at Berkeley is not an issue, GO TO CAL. If you need the money, go to Davis. But whatever you do, get the best grades you can and the best LSAT possible, and go to the very best law school you can. (Whether one should go to law school is an entirely different subject).
@calalumandDad thanks for the advice! I’m not interested in Big Law or working for the government. I’m already studying for the LSAT which I’m planning to take in September, before school gets too crazy to study for it. I’m going to attend the transfer events before I decide where to go.
@Not2cool4school I’m also studying for the LSAT and planning to take it in september! I also checked your previous posts and I also go to ARC! Well I attend all 4 of the community colleges within the district haha.
It’s smart that you’ve decided to study for the lsat before school starts in the fall. That way you have time to completely focus and prepare for the exam
@Metllica57 don’t give up! I think you still have a great chance
