when you click on “admissions application decision” it says:

“This requirement indicates that we have not confirmed your admission to UC Davis. The Financial Aid Office cannot process your financial aid until your admission to UC Davis is confirmed.”

but then after it says “satisfied”

the question here is if there is a correlation between the financial aid “admissions decision” saying “satisfied” and actually being admitted…i guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I can’t believe this, but I completely missed my first Davis email (the one telling me to log in to the myadmissions page). I just filled all the info out now, and then I went and checked the financial aid site and low and behold, according to Davis, I’ve pretty much got a full ride. What is this "Entering UG Scholarship - NH??? It’s about $11,000. I thought FAFSA only entitled me to get the Cal Grant and a Pell Grant? Where is this Entering UG money coming from?

Is this financial aid info an indicator of our admission? Or do they tell everyone how much financial aid they would get? On my awards page, when I click on “Your SIR has not yet been received. Click for more info” I get:

“Our records show that you have not yet accepted admission to UC Davis by returning your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). MyAwards provides you with an estimate of your financial aid amounts for the given academic year should you accept admission. We encourage you to review your financial aid awards, but please do not complete any listed loan requirements unless you have submitted your Statement of Intent to Register.”

What is that all about? Have I been accepted or what?

the uc davis student id can be found on the admissions website towards the top where it says “ssid”. & it should be 9 digits.
in terms of the admission decision being “satisfied” the site just states that it means that your application for admission has been received & processed so it probably means that they’ve already reached a decision about your admission but i dont think it necessarily means that you’ve been accepted (which is very unfortunate) because i just feel like they might just be getting my hopes up with this email.
& in terms of the site being reserved for current students, accepted students, & waitlisted students," i really hope that’s true but again, getting my hopes up here…

Okay. . .I got the financial aid package message as well , but does that mean we got accepted? lol. It would seem strange to have calculated our financial aid and then reject us. However, I heard that UCs are weird this year and are rejecting 4.1+ GPAs/high SAT/lots of EC students (Davis, Irvine, etc.)

@flwrgrl
thats nothing to worry about for transfers though. Everyone expected them to accept less freshman. It was said that they were going to accept more transfers due to the budget cuts; something about wanting more students that graduate fast or something like that

Wow, um…looking back into my emails…i didnt receive a notification from davis indicating that they recieved my app
I did recieve a housing update email that said
"Dear Joseph,

Thank you for applying to UC Davis. We want to let you know that UC Davis will be participating in CollegeWeekLive’s “Paying for College” online college fair this Thursday. If you have questions about financing your undergraduate education, please join us at this free event:"

I got an email on January 7th. It is titled, “Your UC Davis application for admission has been received”. Maybe check emails sent around that time?

theyre probably giving out all the low EFCs first since they need it the most. My EFC was like 21000 i dont even think im going to get anything. Thats why everyone who got a package got like ~20000
