Reflection
Strengths: Very heavy leadership & extra curricular.
Weaknesses: GPA, SAT, but for all she does her grades are decent. She took most honors (and some AP) classes available.
Why you think you were accepted: (1) very heavy leadership & extra curricular while maintaining decent grades (2) loaded academic workload, she took 8-9 classes per sem and will graduate with 308 units total (3) took 4 courses of UC credited community classes (total of 12 units) during summers and got A & ranked 1 on all courses >> colleges appreciate this a lot!!! bec as a hs student you dont have to do this so it just shows extra effort on her part, all while lifeguarding & swimming competitively (4) her excellent to outstanding well-written essays. very nice topics and she took her time writing and proof-reading those.
Where else were you accepted:
UOP (Presidential Scholarship) USF (Provost Scholarship) Menlo (Presidential Scholarship) College of Mount St Vincent (Honors Program, Pres Scholarship) Creighton (w scholarship), still waiting on others…

General Comments:
It’s all about being holistic, I guess. And how you presented yourself in application.
UC Davis & Santa Clara are her top choices.
