I’m currently a CC student and I’m lost whether I should choose Davis or SDSU for Civil Engineering. I’ve did a bit of research on both schools, but I’m really split between both schools based on the research I’ve done.
Since the Fall applications are due November 30th and acceptances have not been made, you are putting the cart before the horse. Apply to both, tour both schools especially the Engineering department and see if you have a choice in the Spring.
Both are ABET accredited for Civil Engineering so their curriculum will be very similar. If you are lucky enough to get accepted to both, you should also consider the social and financial aspects in your decision. Each school has a different “vibe” which could contribute one way or another to your final decision along with a difference in costs.
If all things are equal and assuming you have a choice, maybe the way you decide is whether you want to be in a big city (SDSU) or in a small(er) college town as is the case with Davis.
