<p>I plan on applying to grad school eventually and focusing somewhere in the space sciences. Would I have more opportunities if I do well as a physics major at UCD, or an astrophysics major at UCSC? What about the regular physics major at UCSC?</p>
<p>Both programs seem quite comprehensive and rigorous, and at Davis they offer a physics B.S. with astrophysics emphasis, as well.</p>
