UC Davis or UCSC (for psychology)?

I've gotten into both schools and am having trouble deciding. I'm pretty serious about majoring in psychology, and hopefully I'll eventually have a career as some type of therapist or psychologist. I'm not completely set on that yet, I'm still excited to take other kinds of classes and develop new interests. I also really like art and history.

I am absolutely in LOOOVE with the UCSC campus, and I love natural beauty. It seems like their isnt a whole lot to do though. I also like Davis, it seems really friendly and theirs a lot of stuff to do.

Im definitely not into drugs, never have been, never will be. I don't really mind people who are, but i'd be nice to know people who feel the same way. I'm a pretty chill person. I don't judge people. I'm not big on parties, but that doesn't mean I don't want to have fun. I definitely want to be challenged in college, but not to the point where I'm pulling my hair out.

I might "fit in" more with the people at Davis... just because its more what im used to. Santa Cruz has that whole hippie stereotype, which isnt necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. Im pretty down-to-earth...but I'm not incredibly outgoing or vocal about my opinions.
Im sick of all this petty, high school gossipy crap. I hate how people will be completely mean to someone just because they are a little different. I hate when girls do anything for attention. I hate how guys are different in front of their friends.
And sorry, I know I sound really negative and annoying right now. Im really not, especially when you get to know me. I just want to meet people who are friendly, and real, and genuinely care about other people... you know? but who doesn't.

yeeah..thats a lot of general information.
But if anyone can tell me about their experience at either schools, mostly about what the people are like and how the psychology program is, that would be AWEEESOOME!

Well Davis is a top 50 university nationally so it would be hard to pass on that and their Psych program is ranked significantly higher. Unless UCSC has offered more aid than I would have to say Davis, although I lament with you passing on the beauty of Santa Cruz as I love it’s environment.
