UC Davis SIR: Official Class of 2010!

I’m so excited to officially say that I will be attending UC Davis next year!!! Yay! This thread is for all UCD admits that have either sent in their SIR (Statement of Intent to Register) or plan on doing so. AGGIES: CLASS OF 2010!

Major: Managerial Economics

Current Location: NorCal

Dorm Preference: Segundo or Tercero…too close to call as of today

Hobbies/Extracurriculars/etc.: I love to play sports (basketball, football, and baseball; baseball=favorite), I’m really into music (lead singer of a barbershop quartet, member of a 10 person a cappella pop-like group, etc.), work around 15hrs a week, enjoy just kicking back with friends and doing spur of the moment things.

Chose UC Davis over: USC, UCSD, UCSB, UCSC, SFSU

Why is UCD right for me: college town, awesome atmosphere, school spirit (Aggie pride!), intramural sports, more than enough things to do: Memorial Union, aboretum, The Graduate, pretty much anything between campus and G street, head to Sacramento, entertainment: comedy clubs, dancing, and so much more close by! But most importantly, the awesome student body and their personalities!!!

So, UCD Welcome Days are 4/14, 4/15, and 4/21 (I’m going on the 21st) and Picnic Day is 4/22 (also will be attending!) Who is going?! Hope to see you there.

One last time:
University of California, Davis: Class of 2010!!!

Batman: Seen several of your posts. You sound like one fantastic kid. You're family must be really, really proud of you.

Yay! I'm going to be transferring.. so I'll be class of 2008.. or 9 (: ! Any other transfers definitely going to Davis? Anyone going to the Spring day on the 7th?

hey, i'm going to UCD too. 2010! hopefully! :)

I'm going :) Any one from the bay area?

i'm going to ucd too. and i'm from the bay area. yayy i hear all nice people go there and judging from the people who posted, i can tell that that's true. hope to meet you all there somehow

i'm still deciding.. but i'm like 95% sure i'll be attending davis and i'm super excited. I can't wait to go down there for admitted students day. Is anyone going on the 14th or 15th?

I'm going on the 15th, too bad theres lno online chatroom or gasp myspace group for us. I think I'm just too excited.

Yep. I'm going on the 15th. Already made hotel reservations. That was probably the only avaliable day for me since I an in Southern California

Cool, I'm going on the 15th as well. I'm not sure where I want to go though.. UCI or UCD.. Tough choice.

If you guys are going on the 14th or 21st, I'm going to be one of the guys giving/taking tickets. =)

I'm going on the 15th also.. is everyone bringing family? Is anyone going as a transfer student and trying to get a spot in the residence halls?

I will be attending UCD.

Yea my family is coming too.

i'm be seeing y'all there as well :D

i'm going on the 15th..AND i'm from the bay area :)

Congratulation to everyone! I'll probably go on the 15th as well, and I too am from the Bay Area

:D I'm deciding between UCSB and UCD, but the more I research the more I like Davis...

so most likely, class of 2010 right here (: Anyone majoring in PoliSci/planning to apply to the honors program?

My counselor highly recommended the Integrated Honors Program. I think I'll probably do it, if for no other reason other than to get those brand-new Segundo dorms! But seriously, you'll be living with other motivated students who will be less likely to be roommates who impede your studying.

That's exactly what I was thinking too! Plus, things are always more fun when you're with people who care about classes--like how there's this innate difference between regular and AP courses. The students are just so much more...opinionated and educated. I love it.
