I was accepted for UC Davis TAG for Human Development with a GPA of 3.33. However, my grades for Fall dropped my GPA to 3.03. It says I need to maintain at least a 3.20 in order to fulfill my TAG...

Does this mean I violated my TAG? Or does that apply to my spring grades this semester for an overall, final gpa of 3.20? I got a C in a 4 unit class, so my whole GPA dropped.

I'm super worried. Please clarify or offer some suggestions for what I can do at this moment.
**Also i have an "Incomplete" for a class taken Summer of 2013 which i'm finishing up this spring. If I get an A in that, it brings my whole pre-spring GPA up to a 3.20. Would that be beneficial?

How would it bring your pre-spring GPA up if you aren’t taking it until spring the incomplete class?

Also if that course isn’t completed before you start spring semester with and A and bringing your GPA up to a 3.2 before the semester starts then yes it is a violation if the Transfer Admission Guarantee and would make it null and void.

But if you get your GPA up to a 3.2+ at the end of Spring and you don’t get an acceptance letter in March/April then 3.2 is good enough to appeal and likely get accepted at UCD.

Sorry if it’s hard to hear but it’s the truth hope everything turns out okay for you!

Okay thanks! I’ve heard some people say that they accept you and then check your end of spring GPA to see if it’s over 3.2. Hopefully that’s the case.

I was told that they look at fall grades. the winter grades they will just look at but you must have maintained a 3.2 during the end of fall. I’m not 100% sure though but thats what the UCI admissions person told me.

@Mik194 - They will be if you are enrolled as of Jan 31st and include them in your TAU, however they will not be used in the TAG Fall 2013 requirement GPA if below necessary GPA requirement.

GUYS, i just spoke to two UC Reps and they confirmed that I have until Spring 2014 to bring my GPA up to the 3.20. Luckily, i realized that I forgot to calculate my classes from another cc into my GPA so I have over a 3.25 after all Just letting y’all know the rules just in case any one else was panicked like me.

Okay so I found out that yeah you are good for UCD because the actual provisions of the Guarantee do not state that you must have a 3.2 by the end of Fall but rather by the end of Summer 2013, and again at the end of Spring 14’ because UCD provides an early admissions decision which I don’t think any of the other UC’s offer along with being able to complete the Math and English rec’s in Spring.
"
UC Davis will notify you when your TAG decision is available, no later than November 15, one year prior to your planned enrollment."

So you already have your admission notification???

UCD is one of the campuses that informs you if they approved your TAG or not, as in you met all the requirements. if they approve it, they “conditionally accept” you for admission, or something similar to that effect, whereas campuses like UCI, UCSD, UCSB just tell you that they don’t provide early admissions evaluation based on the info you file in the UC TAP for TAG and you’re sort of left wondering in the dark if they really did approve your TAG or not.
