UC Davis Transfer Fall 2018--Discussion Post

Hmm. Kind of late for chiming in, but I was accepted as well for Animal Biology.

For those of you not from norCal, how do you guys feel about moving so far away? I am pretty nervous about it.

Did anybody else receive their admission packets today?

@Veronicuhh I’m kind of excited to be honest. I think it’s time for me to have a fresh new start. Don’t worry about it too much. You’ll adapt and thrive in the new environment!

@rkhayd I did, was really exciting to officially hold the letter in my hand, but I’m not going so.

Hi guys, do you think there are ways to heighten your chances into getting accepted from the waitlist?

@Veronicuhh I’m opposite, I’m NorCal, just got off the waitlist for SD, so I’m moving 8 hour drive away from home, excited tbh, but a bit nervous about being so far from home, if something goes wrong and I’m really on my own. Nervewracking and exciting at the same time.

Could you please tell me the transfer admissions counselor’s email address? I dropped a class and I need to let the counselor know and find out if it impacts my acceptance. I tried very hard and couldn’t find any email address. Thanks for your help.

Hey guys,
I’m not sure if anyone is still on the UCD transfer waitlist, but I just declined my offer for Global Disease Biology. Hopefully this helps someone out and good luck to everyone!

International relations major, still haven’t heard anything, not the best student so not shocked if i didnt get in

people have started receiving acceptances in different majors according to another discussion

for any future students who go back to old threads, I’m here to tell you the mybill trick doesnt work. Sorry.

I was hoping someone here could help me. I’m a biological sciences major. I took the 2nd Organic Chemistry in the summer and got a D. I know that Organic Chemistry isn’t a required course for transferring with TAG. Will my TAG be denied because of the D or am I fine? My Cumulative GPA is 3.50 and will most likely go up to 3.60 after this semester at CC. I’ve finished Calc 1 and 2 with As. I’m finishing the Biology series and Physics series this semester. Lastly, I was planning on retaking Organic chemistry in hopes of getting an A. Any help?

Congrats! I applied for pharm chem too! I have about a 2.97, and I finished gen chem, bio, and stats. Still need o chem, physics, and one calc class. Do you think I have a chance?
