Fall 2017 transfer’s release date was 4/21 for everyone.
Does anyone know if it’s going to be the same for this year? Third Friday in april? Will they be rolling this year?
Davis is my #1 and I can hardly take the wait/the vague dates. I just want to know.
Hi all, I don’t mean to ruin anyone’s excitement, but I read through last years Transfer thread for Davis and saw one person who reported that he/she was able to view the 500 dollar deposit on the portal, but did not get accepted. So don’t assign to much weight to this mybill thing.
@vinram925 yeah, I wouldn’t place any weight on that either.
Agreed. I want an acceptance letter. The waiting period though… 8-}
@OhWhatsHerName Fall 2017 transfer here! Davis doesn’t do rolling basis but instead, releases everything at once. That being said, I think y’all will receive your acceptance a little earlier this year because ours was given in time for us to attend picnic day and see the school. Picnic Day is 4/21 this year and doesn’t make sense for them to send everything out a day before. Good luck!
I have received no emails with the exception of the conformation email I got from applying. Is this a bad sign? Am I unlikely to get in? Also I am in the greater Sacramento area, not sure if that affects my chances.

do you guys think someone should try to call? if we do, whoever does it shouldnt ask when admissions will come out, but something like, “will transfer admits find out in time to go to picnic day?”
Yeah, that would definitely suck if you went to picnic day and ended up getting rejected a couple days later…

I am a bit nervous because my GPA is relatively low …
Does anyone know if you’ve TAGed and then GPA falls (ugh Calculus 2)below impacted major 3.2 minimum if they will automatically consider your application for regular admission?
@mostlymom omg same thing happened to me except with ochem and I had my tag for sb! I think we automatically get considered for reg admin but they’ll know we used be on tag
@mostlymom I am in same spot as you except that I failed a class in Fall 17. They said my TAG will be voided but I would still have a shot at regular admissions.
@mostlymom also in a similar position for UCSB. I’m on TAG and the requirement needs me to have a 3.0 this semester but I’m only taking two classes in which I’ll end up getting 1 C and 1 B so that’s a 2.5 and my overall falls 0.01 below a 3.2 which is needed for TAG.
My sister was in a similar situation two years ago in which she failed Calc 2 after getting accepted but they let her take it over the summer. So we have hope
for anyone doing the regents scholarship, did your application reset? all my information reset and I have to re-enter everything and the “references” part of the application is completely missing! is this happening for anyone else?
Same deal here. My references section is gone and all my info has disappeared. Davis should just give us all regent’s as compensation.
@wwoooohoo @vinram925 same here, I’m assuming this happened to everyone… hopefully they will figure it out.
Ugh, I already put in my reference too and I don’t want to resend the reference invite. I might email them tomorrow if they dont send out a notification to everyone.
I sense the decisions will come out a little earlier for some reason, just seems too weird that a lot of transfer students are receiving decisions ahead of the tentative timeline.
Just a thought, nothing more.
so I tried to contact the uc Davis office of prestigious scholarships and they messed up the phone lines I guess and the phone number listed on the financial aid website is connecting me to a professors office…and that professor told me he’s been getting calls all day! just a heads up for anyone calling about the regents scholarship
