Is it hard to transfer to UC Davis?I am a cc student with a 3.19 gpa and a psy major. I missed the tag by 1 point and plan to have my gpa at a 3.37 by the end of fall. Do you guys think I got a good chance of getting into Davis.
Checking this link, you will see the UC Transfer GPA admit range was 3.33-3.78 so if you can get your GPA up to 3.37, then you stand a chance.

Good luck
Hi I’m a CA resident college freshman that goes to an OOS school now and I wanted to transfer to UC Davis next year because the OOS school is tough for us financially and health issues that make me want to be closer to home. My HS GPA is kind of low (3.2) my SAT is 2140 and my first semester of college GPA is a 4.0. I’m applying for nutritional science. What are my chances?
@happykid26
UC’s only take Junior level transfers (60 semester/90 quarter units). Your SAT scores and HS GPA are not considered only what you have accomplished in college (GPA/EC’s).
Since you only have Freshman grades and you will not have the required transfer courses completed by Spring 2018, you will not have enough units to transfer. Do you have any AP credit that could be used towards some of the transfer courses?
I suggest you consider withdrawing from your current school, attend a local California community college to complete your pre-req and required transfer courses and TAG to UCD for Fall 2019.

Hi everyone ! Im applying to transfer from a cc in nothern california
Schools applied to:
UCD, UCI, UCSC, UCLA,UCB,UCSD as well as a few other state schools
for UCD I applied under Biological sciences and alternate major NPB
a little background: I was originally a nursing major but decided later on to switch and broaden my study subject
Gpa: 3.70 overall when I will be updating my fall grades and planned spring courses in january
GE done
IGETC: done
I didnt apply for tap/tag
Major science courses taken:
Human Anatomy passed with an A
Human Physiology passed with an A
Microbiology (planned)
Gen chem 1 done
Gen chem 2 (planned)
Statistics is also planned for the spring
note: i have all of my other GE’s done such as communications, psych, poli sci, sociology, english 1 and 2, history, art, music, and chem 10 which was recommended to be taken before taking intro to chem
I withdrew from calc a year ago and havent had time to take that again because I was focused on my science courses as I was a nursing major
(I called UCLA and UCD about how ive taken upper division courses such an anatomy, physiology and will be finishing micro and they said that I could complete my Ochem and Math over there if I transfer its just that I would be considered one of the lesser competitive students)
Personal Insight questions: I believe that they were strong I had a few people look over them and read them and they gave very positive feedback
Extra curriculars:
volunteering and tutoring at the public library and hosting the summer reading program
I am a part of my community colleges student government and have been for the last 2 semesters
I also am a teachers assistant at my church for sunday school
Im the captain of an folk dance club
I tutor for anatomy at my college
please give me some feedback as to what you guys think. I dont think I have a solid chance at getting in. I dont have the first semester of Ochem completed as it says online that its required but I did do other courses which are considered to be upper division and I wouldve had to take those at the university in my junior/senior year anyway because I would need those for medical school and to graduate from that university
what do you think my chances are at getting into the university ?
@GxBearrr: Did you TAG to any of the UC’s? Also you should start a new thread with your questions.
@Gumbymom No I was not aware about the TAG program until I had already missed the deadline. And sure I can start a new thread with my questions but I was just wondering if I have any chance to get into UCD with a 3.70 over all GPA and those courses I listed above
@GxBearrr: you look very competitive and best of luck.
@GxBearrr, make your own thread. You are hijacking this OP’s post which is considered rude.
@“aunt bea” I’m new to college confidential I’m not exactly aware of all the rules and where we are allowed to post and comment but thank you I did start my own thread. Again my sincerest apologies
