@callieaustin hey! i also applied as a sophomore transfer and got waitlisted. funny actually because i was also at a 4-year (westmont college) for a semester. i managed to get a 3.34 there and my high school record isnt bad, but it is definitely not a 4.25 haha. i had a 3.77 average. i heard that they really intend to use the waitlist this year. but the process is so hazy for the lower-division transfers. i really hope you hear good news from davis in the next month! oh and i am a nutrition science major! do you mind me asking what you didnt like about cal poly? i planned on applying there next semester.
@roslyn I am SO sorry for the late response! I haven’t been on this website in a long time. That’s crazy though! It sounds like we had the same college experience, even down to the major! I hope you hear good news as well! I want to go to Davis sooo bad. The waiting is killing me. I know they give priority to junior-level transfers so I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much. I didn’t like Cal Poly mostly for personal reasons. I hated the dorms I lived in and I didn’t get along with my roommates very well. Also, the school is about 5 hours from my hometown, and I would prefer to be much closer. It’s a great school and San Luis Obispo is a beautiful town. If you’re interested I would definitely apply.

@callieaustin haha no worries! i think that not checking these threads is probably good for our mental health. yes, our situations are strangely similar!! davis is also my top choice and i also feel so nervous!! i already have made plans to tag and apply to back ups just because, like you said, priority goes to juniors… but i really cant fathom the idea of going anywhere else. but i know i cant just apply to one school as a junior. and i bet that you probably would hate to go through the application process yet again… i hope they consider that when reviewing either of us… they would basically have to look over the same to applications next fall but with more units complete and most likely more extra curriculars and community service… ya know? like it would just save them time as well as us… just because it is our top choice. but it will be okay… i will be really sad but i know that eventually i will lighten up. thank you for the insight about slo!! may the force be with you this week!
