UC Davis & UC Berkeley; How do I match up?

<p>Hello my name's Allyssa (:
so I've applied already to uc merced, uc davis, uc berkeley, and university of the pacific. My main choices are UC davis & UC Berkeley. My gpa ranges from 3.98 to 4.08. I was a sophomore class president, student body vice president my junior year, and am student body v.p. this year. I placed 3rd in a county spelling bee in 9th grade & have received academic excellence awards and distinguished character awards throughout high school. I scored a composite score of 25 on my ACT and a 1680 on my SAT, but my highest scores for each subject add up to a 1780. I am also eligible for the ELC program for UC's. I have taken 5 years of math in high school, 4 years of English, 2 years of foreign language, 3 years of science, etc along with community college courses that I have received A's and B's in. I am really worried about not getting into davis or berkeley so what I want to know is whether all this information is enough to get in. I do not think my test scores are high enough. Will someone who has been accepted into davis or berkeley please help? I would greatly appreciate it (=</p>

<p>The UCs take your highest single-sitting score and don’t look at your highest scores by section on multiple tests. Davis is a low reach but Cal is a high reach. I think your match UCs would be more along the likes of UCSC and possibly UCSB. Go to the link below, clink on “Custom Tables”, answer some questions, and enter up to 3 “mean characteristics” at a time to see what the admit rate percentages are at the various UCs for someone that matches your profile. Congrats on being ELC eligible. At least that gets you an “auto-admit” to one of the campuses, with the fulfillment of some minimum requirements.</p>

<p>I am a high school senior and have not yet been admitted anywhere. I think you have no chance for Berkley and an okay, but not great, chance at Davis.</p>
