Uc Davis Usfca

Hi,
I have been feeling very paranoid for the last couple of months while waiting for college letters to arrive.

I realy want to go to uc davis or university of san francisco
however, uc davis is my first choice!

i have :
GPA- 3.41
SAT: 1530 ( out of 2400)
ACT: 23
100 hours of community service
leadership
clubs
2 years of field hockey
moved from new zealand end of sophomore year
first generation of college from family

What are my chances?
I applied to
davis, university of san fran, irvine, santa cruz, merced

Thanks,

you should get in Merced

the others are reaches but I do agree about the merced thing.

Sorry but I have to agree. UCSC is less of a reach than Davis but I dont really know much about USF. If you are still looking for a school to apply to in Northern/Central Calif. you may want to check out Cal State Monterey Bay I think they are still taking aps. It's cheaper than UCM and though the campus is 10 minutes from anywhere Merced's is hours from anywhere cool. Did you GC look at your list?

Is that your weighted UC GPA or your unweighted GPA?

i believe my weighted and unweighted are the same.
however, i did take 3 college classes

are my chances low for davis and usf?

Can't comment on your chances, but wanted to let you know that in order to encourage matriculation to UC Merced, the UC system is allowing (maybe even facilitating) UC intercampus transfer from Merced to another UC as long as you've taken less than 120 quarter (or 80 semester) units. I read this in the L.A. Times awhile ago, but don't have a link. I believe the idea was to encourage students to accept admittance to Merced to fill seats and hope that more will grow to like it and stay rather than take up the offer to transfer to another UC campus. Of course, the other UC campus would have to have space in your intended major. You might want to look into this.
