<p>It doesn't matter where you go if you don't take advantage of the internships/research that you can do. Personally, I would choose a UC over a CSU because UCs are more research oriented and thus, you would be more likely to get experience and research in. In general, grad schools don't care where you attend undergrad as long as you have great recs, research and gpa (maybe gre for com sci, not too sure about it tho).</p>

<p>Actually, Cal Poly is on US News' list of the top 35 schools for undergrad research. The only UC's on that list are UCB and UCLA.</p>
