UC Davis vs UCSB

Hi everyone I'm a Community College student and will transfer to UC Davis or UCSB major in Economics. Now I'm struggling to choose between the two, anyone can give me some advice? UCSB requires a pre-major that I need to get a certain grade to get in full major, while UCD doesn't have. UCSB has better campus though.

I would go to UCSB, it’s not hard to get a certain grade at UCSB. D2 has friend at UCSB with straight As, but he got into a lot of good schools so he is a very good student. He got into UCLA, Wash U, etc…

UCSB said only 45% of the students got in full major last year…

I am in the same exact situation. I originally thought I would just go to Davis because of the 45% thing but I am second guessing my decision. I am visiting both schools this weekend though.
Are you leaning toward either school?

Then I would go to Davis then.

@MAXsays: I’m leaning toward UC Davis because I don’t want to wast my time if I don’t get in full major. But if you visit both campus you will fall in love with UCSB. It’s much better campus compare to UC Davis, despite the tragedy occured last Friday. If you’re confident with your academic ability, go for UCSB.
