Does anyone have information on when we approximately find out the transfer decisions to UCLA and UCB?

I want to start a countdown on my calender. ha...It'll be the only thing keeping me sane...

between march 1 and may 1

check out the uc pathways website:
http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/dates_deadlines.html

good luck!!

Thank you, rosycheekswhite!

But I'm just looking for approximate dates for the UCLA and Cal decisions. Does anyone have this information?

Cal is April 30 (with the disclaimer that it could be later). UCLA is May 1 (again with the disclaimer).

this website (http://students.berkeley.edu/admissions/transfer.asp) is for ucb:

"UC transfer application timetable (Fall 2006):

Application available October 1, 2005
Filing period November 1- 30
Application deadline November 30
Admissions decisions posted* April 30, 2006
Statement of Intention to Register and enrollment deposit due at UCB June 1

Approximate/projected date decisions will be available on-line"

and as for ucla....check out this website: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/applicant/decision/default.htm

"Fall 2006 Freshman

We anticipate that the online notification site for freshman applicants will be available by March 15. From that point, decisions will continue to be released on a rolling basis.

Transfer

We will begin notifying transfer applicants in early-May. From that point, decisions will continue to be released on a rolling basis."

hope this all helps!!! i think this was more of what u were looking for...

Hmmm. So do most of the application decisions fall on the said dates (April 30 and May 1)? Or do they tend to go on a rolling basis as the disclaimers warn? Can any of the past transfers attest to this?

ha...I must sound like a typical obsessed CCer.

The other UCs will most likely come earlier than UCLA and Berkeley. And I think there is a good chance they may be a bit delayed. Keep in mind that the SIR is due June 1, but if you are admitted less than 3 weeks before June 1, they give you 3 weeks from the day you are accepted to submit the SIR.

If UCLA (my top choice) decisions go according to schedule, we are looking at about one-hundred eighteen days of waiting (correct me if I'm wrong). That's a lot. =[

ahh wow, that sounds very long, damn.

UCLA should make a policy that if they make a student wait more than one-hundred thirty days, he/she is automatically accepted.

agreed... 5 more months of waiting is gonna kill me

I think I will make this thread the official UCLA decision countdown thread...=]

(117 days to go)

wow so long from now. but it'll pass us by.

at least we all still have time to enjoy hoping!

please, reject me now and let me get on with my life.....!!

also, quick question. I'm filling out my fafsa and for the part that says schools that will be receiving it do i just put down every school i applied to as well as the school i am currently attending or just the school that im attending right now?

is there an official UCB countdown thread?

hobo, I don't think that would matter. In the case that you omit a school and end up attending it, your current school will most likely send the info for you.....ask the financial office!

calgirl21,

We can make this the official UCB thread as well since the pool of students hoping for either UCLA or UCB tend to be very similar (and have quite the overlapping). Also, the stated dates between UCLA and UCB differ by only a day.

great idea cardinalfocused.
even though i am not anticipating a letter, i would like to be here when ppl open theirs :) there was a thread last year for UCB, and people were coming back every hour to check; it was crazy hahah! but i didnt find out about CC until 2 months after i got my letter =(
i waited to open my letter in front of my two best friends. boy was it scary!!
i look foward to maybe seeing some of you next fall!

UCLA(116 days to go)...

UCB(115 days to go)...
