allena, what is your major if you don't mind me asking?

I'm a History major with a minor in Political Science.

wth??? did we lose pages again or is my computer retarded? i posted stuff yesterday and i dont see it nor the responses to it.

nope, i doubt it. How long was this thing down for?

a long time. i actually tried to see your response your wrote hobo, and it said it was down for maintenance. is our jokes about "what are my chances for this job" still up? i also said i'd be here even after i get my phd. do you still see that page anyone? that was a whole page or something right there!!!!!!

ok in my computer, we are missing a page.

yeah i still see it, there's 13 pages in this thread for me.

I swear its a conspiracy...The moderators don't want this years UC transfer group to beat last year's record...=[

ok we have 4 more pages than we do

"Who here is going to scream at the top of their lungs, despite their surroundings, when they find out that they got accepted to UCLA? I know I will!"

I WILL, TOO!!!!!! :D ahahhaahah I like UCLA so much... first choice, first choice and the only first choice!!!!!

i did that, except for berkeley. hahahah

Hey... cal girl... you are in Berkeley now right?
Would you mind describe something about it especially a descriptive comparison between community college and UC Berkeley in many kinds of aspects such as academic programs, difficulties, school styles and so on. It is even better if you could elaborate it more. I really wanna learn about it and i really appreaciate your time to input some valuable information.

I feel like making this thread so big is kind of a bad thing actually...I remember looking at the size of last year's thread and being intimidated. But I don't think I can convince anyone to opt for more new threads. When decisions come out threads will light up like wildfire regardless.

still early. three month is such a long time. although i really could use good news in my life right now. my spring semester will be so dificult and winter is about to get so challenging.

i feel ya highschoolda...right after my chem lab that i worked on for three days, i have a physics quiz plus French essay due ha! Add to that, I have an English essay due (online class) on Sunday that I haven't started plus an ochem 2 midterm on Tues......

yay, i can't be happier :D

yeah, one of the drawbacks of the quarter system is the constant tests. its only gonna be the fourth week and i already have 1 midterm, 1 lab, 1 major essay among other things. =/

UCLA and UCB(95 days to go)...

UCSD and UCSB(48 days to go)...

cardinalfocused did you apply to stanthud.

ok kevin101, here it is

Community college:
1) no sections, just lecture
2)30-60 students in a class
3)more buffers in grades, like 10% for x 10% for y 10 for z, well you get the picture
4)more diversity in age group (at least in mine)
5) a lot more apathetic students
6) professors are easier to access
7) you can walk from one end to campus to the other in less than 10 min
8) what is research besides that thing you do for a class paper?
9)

Berkeley:
1)about 50 min lecture, then a 50 min discussion group
2) 100-300 students in a class
3) fewer things to do, but worth more percentage of your grade
4) less diversity in age group (from time to time i will meet someone who is over 22 versus a lot of the time at CC)
5)school driven students (not to say there are not slackers, but it feels like it's a smaller percentage than at CC)
6)professors are harder to access, and if they dont know your name unless you've visited office hours, dont get mad
7) it takes more than 10 min to walk from one side to campus to the other
8) research opportunities. ESP here at cal

if i think of more, i'll post.

hehe no I didn't sandkicks. I need a username transplant, as UCLA is definitely my first choice now...! hehe
