UC decision dates...

You must be a 4.0, chunkphat?

Yep. The Regents Scholarship is great but so is finding out for sure if I'm accepted early. You think they invite all 4.0s to compete?

Well I think that a 4.0 CCC student applying for transfer basically doesn't need anything else as far as ECs go. So if one has a 4.0, and went the CCC route, the UCs really have no right to deny that student! (of course there will be the rare exceptions)

Man, I would kill for that Regents invitation. Knowing me, I'd be the 0.1% that gets the invite but not the acceptance.

I still just want to see the letter. I'm sure we all do.

I was right...just got the letter :)

kuhngrahjoolayshons

I'm glad you got the invite, chunk. Hopefully, mine will come in the mail today when I get home.

wow! chunkphat did you get admitted into UCLA?

congratulations chunk.

UCI notifies transfer students April 1st-30th fyi.

Thanks a lot guys/girls. If receiving the Regents letter means getting admitted, I guess I'm in (seems to be the case). I am so happy. Now I have to make a presentation....

UCLA was/is my first choice. So I'm waiting (but not really) on UCSD, UCB, and USC. In any case, I'm going to stick around this board so I can congratulate all of you when you get in. This board has cleared up so many transfer discrepancies for me, so thanks to all who replied to my questions/concerns...

Congrat. Chunk. Are you a transfer student or freshman??

Transfer from a CCC.

So if we do not get Regents Scholarship, are we out or what??

haybaxt, if that were the case, that means everyone that gets in should get a regents scholarship.

Think about your question a little!

Does anyone know the speed of the mailing acceptance letters versus the elecytronic confirmation by the UCs' personal websites? I haven't registered yet and don't really want to unless I find out like a week earlier on the UC website versus the letter in the mail.

It depends on the school. I actually got my letter for UC Davis about 2 days before the website updated. I'm going to wager to bet that most of you are going to end up checking the websites on a nearly hourly basis.

This is random, but what university is on the homepage of College Confidential?

"I'm going to wager to bet that most of you are going to end up checking the websites on a nearly hourly basis."

ahahahhaa :)
