UC decision dates...

been waiting way too long for this.

Iamapprehensive: Hopefully the Cal page isn't new to you, because you were supposed to submit an update using that site by February 15.

squarepeg, I've never done an all nighter. Latest I've stayed up was like 4 AM and then woke up at like 7 am...

Do u actually go w/ out sleeping for a day?

I am still skeptical, WHo releases adm decision on a wed night?

I agree highschoolda, I don't think that we will recieve a decesion tonight, but guess what... I will be up and checking at 12. (Confidence booster if it comes through)

i've gone many a day without sleep.

looking through last year's thread...i feel sb will probably push the date back again or very very few will get a decision on friday...

im so sick of waiting.

i think we'll hear from sd next monday.

Wow dude, how long have you been in college? I can't imagine being in college and going through multiple finals weeks and not ever going an entire day without sleep.

By the way, let's not change the countdown to say "begun" until we have someone on the board who says they have received a decision (or the website says decisions have begun, etc.).

been in college for two yrs... I do much better on exams when i well rested.

I usually get around 5-6 hrs of sleep on finals week.

I think ur perception that college students shouldn't sleep is kinda weird.

we should make predictions on which schools (if any) will release any decisions by midnight tonight...

Just a note-
The stanford transfer app isn't due til tomorrow. I find it so weird that I have been waiting for UC decesions since November, and just submitted another app.

so, anyone taking bets on which schools they get into?

I wasn't even talking about exams per se--more like extensive final papers and reports, in between taking and studying for exams. I didn't say college students shouldn't sleep, but that usually a college student these days cannot go through a few years of college without having at least one or two cases of all-nighters (usually during midterms or finals). 5-6 hours a night is waaay comfortable for finals.

I will probably be pulling an all-nighter tonight for no other reason than my sleeping schedules ****ed up and all-nighters usually tend to fix it for a while...ha

I'll be up for a while studying. But, not an all nighter per say. :)

I don't pull all-nighters during finals since the lack of sleep makes me feel like crap. I usually get 3 hours of sleep max.

but its all good though. I guess tonight's all-nighter will allow me to postwhore so I can gain the prestiege of becoming a 'senior member' sometime this year.

Not new. I just thought it was a weird place to tell us if we're accepted or not. Doesn't look like the other UCs' logins.

well, highschoolda, you're much more disciplined than I am. I agree that students should be well rested, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way for me. Fun usually outweighs homework. The temptation to do other stuff that is slightly more fun(like post on this forum) is too great for me to pass up. What can I say? I'm a lifelong procrastinator.
