"Anyone else only applied to Berkeley?"

Not only, but I did apply. This thread sort of started off as a UCB-UCLA thread and turned into this. Probably alot of UCB and UCLA hopefuls.

woot i got in.

I got in to SD. The whole thing is BLANK. It used to say "check this site during mid-march..."

(HAHA I DONT MEAN I GOT ACCEPTED. I GOT INTO THE WEBSITE!)

'ahaha, sorry!

Just to make sure since I lost the letter UCSD sent me regarding the application ID for their TritonLink website... is their application ID the same one used for Berkeley?

I hate you guys.

J/K congrats

Highschoolda, Anthro BA, I'm more into cultural than physical. archaeology is really fun too, but I'm more interested in people that are still alive. I want to do a lot of things, I guess. Lately I've been getting into Urban anthro. There are so many interesting sub-cultures within this country that people should know about. For instance, a couple of years ago I went to the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota. Of all the places I've traveled, bikers were the most interesting group of people I've ever met. They have their own lingo, and folklore, and "gods" (such as evil knievil),traditions, taboos, and style of dress. I could've hung out with them for months! You guys should seriously go sometime! I also want to do the classic ethnography (think Margaret Mead in Samoa) and study gender roles cross culturally. But, like most social science people, I'll probably end up teaching or with a desk job!

What about you?

goodevening fellow applicants-
thanks for my productive yet anticlimactic first day on the forum. I'm sure we'll continue the chats as admit decisions are posted... I'm looking forward to someone hearing good news and giving us cause for celebration.

Yes it is, sarcasm.

actually, i'd be interested to know what everyone's career goals are (if they have them yet)
