I would all but guarantee your acceptance. Show me evidence (in numbers) that suggests otherwise, and I'll take all back. But you can't. You know why? Because everything I've said is true!

Highschoolda then disproved him:

California community colleges
11,209 4,688 41.82% 92.36% 3.34 3.57 102 102

3.57 vs 3.54 (GPA) (thats the average APPLICANT gpa)
41.82% avg vs 31.10% avg

note - the third to last figure (it's not clear as it's not in excel format, buy ey this is cc) but thats the average APPLICANT gpa.

with ccc applicants at almost the same gpa as UC applicants to UCLA (i.e. not UC riverside)

Bottom line: That data is misleading, and does not tell the whole story.

It's not misleading at all.

Have you taken statistics? Do you know how to interpret these numbers? Probably not.
[/quote]

I have (not the calculus based one, just the regular statistics), but one doesn't need to know statistics to see how wrong u were. and how sure u sounded.

those numbers prove that the standards for UC students are lower than they are for CCC students. You just said it: 3.54(UC) vs. 3.57(CCC). How dumb are you. I am more familiar with those figures than you could ever be. Highschoolda hasn't shown me anything new. In fact, we have had this discussion before. Who the **** are you, and when did you decide to join the conversation. You don't even know what you are talking about.

Without looking over all of this crap, I have to say that it is ENTIRELY UNEQUIVOCAL, UNQUESTIONABLE that CCC STUDENTS HAVE PRIORITY. That is explicated in every UCOP document, every individual UC documents, etc etc etc etc etc

The data is useless. It's a simple fact; data isn't necessary.

I bet the UC to UC students have a higher acceptance rate--barring they met all the minimum requirements.

WRONG.

then u change yur mind apparently:

WRONG.

But, yeah those numbers prove it's easier to transfer from a CCC to a UC, hence CCC students are most likely given priority

By the way, here is how it officially works:

Transfer Priority:
(1) California Community College students (must have 30 units done at cccs etc.)
(2) Intercampus (students from other UCs)
(3) California Residents

I know that. But the point is, it does not say anything about UC to UC transfers coming second (or first) to CCC transfers. Period. It only addresses CCC transfers having priority over non CA residents. No where does it say they have priority over UC students. This is why I'm skeptical. I am not currently a UC student, and I wish I could say CCC transfers have priority over UC students. But I can't, because that data is strangely not available.

Are you an academic councelor or something pirate?

No, i think he's a uc student trying to transfer and thinking he's bigger and badder if he gets into UCLA and if a student from CCC gets into UCLA...

*Transfer Priority:
(1) California Community College students (must have 30 units done at cccs etc.)

(3) California Residents

I will get multiple links to back this up if necessary.

You act like I've never seen those numbers before. I said what I said taking those numbers into account. This is an old discussion which you obviously know nothing about.
