UC Decision part dos!!

einna, i think people are just predicting the 22nd based on the fact transfer decisions were released on april 24th last year, a tuesday, so the idea is that they will release it on that fourth tuesday which is a 22nd this year.

honestly there is no method to the madness, really.

torrance - the reason i say predicted on the 27th is because if you look in the "UC decisions" thread from last year, decisions were posted on the Berkeley site by the 27th.

mykris202-i just logged onto UCSB, STILL pending.
they are going to make us wait for this, aren't they?!

SD site is down!!!

yeah they are making us wait for a fact. I think last year SD released decisions in 3 batches and they were mid march, early april, and late april. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but it isn't far fetched.

SD site is saying that I have an incorrect user name or password, is that what yours did firefox?

yup, that's what it says

@duogmeg: yeah, you should've applied to USC! i'm waiting for acceptance to their music industry major which still lets a person work on their main instrument (or voice), while doing biz-related stuff. my top 2 choices are: cal and USC. i didn't even bother to apply to ucla, even though it's such a smart school. and i go to s.f. all the time too! it's only 2.5 hrs from where i live! i'll be down there at the end of this month! yummmm!

lulz,

sd site goes down every night at 12AM for varying amounts of time, and then usually goes down again at 9AM.

feuerwerke-if i get into USC and successfully into thornton/theatre's MT minor, i will probably be running into you when you get into USC. which would pretty much be awesome since i have always been in love with thornton anyway...

and yes, duogmeg, why DIDN'T you apply to USC? we could've all been thorntonites to the max, yo. (and WOW that sounded lame.)

so does anyone know what UCSB's decision release pattern from last year was?

anyone staying up to see if anyone releases decisions at midnight?

Yeah, but it's easier for me because I'm in Alaska! (; One hour behind.

ksbr27, you been to the SC campus much? thornton buildings? i've been there a few times to visit. and yes, i love the campus. i'm doubting my acceptance there though. other ppl who've applied to that major are pretty hardcore. i consider myself academic, but not hardcore... :)

that's why berkeley might end up being the place for me..

and yeah, i'm staying up tonight, but only because the deadline for this one scholarship is tonight. ugh.

lol you think santa cruz is too hardcore but somehow berkeley is easier?

i think the campus is beautiful, but i definitely fell in love with the PASSION behind thornton and theatre people. i really want to go to USC, although i placed french as my first-choice, i put theatre as my second-choice in the hopes that maybe both will take me and i have a choice, or, as i am realizing, the BA theatre program will override CLAS and just say "yeah, we'll take her." but i may be dreaming on that. i'd still like to use french either as a major or a minor, but i am realizing the BA theatre program is a better fit with my life and schedule and stuff. somehow MT and french will be involved. i really don't see myself at any other school BUT USC, so if i don't get in that is going to be one bitter pill to swallow, and especially with the stats of the people on here, i'm hoping my essay/short answers and extracurriculars will make up for that 3.45 i have...

@hotelmoscow: SC is the shortened version of USC, not UC santa cruz.

@ksbr27, what UC's did you apply to? and what's CLAS, btw?

@feuerwerke - CLAS stands for College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at USC. Some schools use CLAS for College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/464637-ucla-decision-date.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/464637-ucla-decision-date.html</a></p>

so...it's late march...

I doubt UCLA will release the decisions in late March; as the Regents scholarship supplemental is due March 31st for which the decisions are usually posted on or around the date of the actual admission decisions.

I would be much more inclined to believe they release mid-April as opposed to late-April if they are going to push forward the date.

that makes sense...

Freshman UCLA admissions notifications were given out March 18th this year vs. March 30th last year (see: <a href="http://blog.admissions.ucla.edu/justine/2007/03/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://blog.admissions.ucla.edu/justine/2007/03/index.html</a> and note the date)

Last year, transfer notifications were sent out April 24th (see: <a href="http://blog.admissions.ucla.edu/justine/2007/04/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://blog.admissions.ucla.edu/justine/2007/04/index.html</a>)</p>

That means that last year, the transfer notification date was 25 days after the freshman date.

Going by that same measure of 25 days, that would mean that we COULD expect UCLA to release transfer notifications this year as early as April 12th.

feuerwerke-i applied to UCLA, UCSB and UC Berkeley. i would prefer going to USC but if I don't get in there, i will go to UCLA if i get in there.

I am freaking out the admission date for UCLA and Berkeley is so close yet so far!!!
