AdamantineX: UCLA decision site

UCLA Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools: Decision Notification

I read that UCB only reads like 1/3 or so of the transfer essays. It was from somone in admissions about 3 years ago. It said they read all of the freshman essays but not all the transfers.

Laguna - yes diamond bar.

the chatroom sucks

only 6 more posts to make 100 for day 1!

fijeeboi: That's why they stress about a catchy introduction.

I'm 19, 20 on April 17th

fijee: I doubt that because otherwise people w/ a 3.56ish for competitive majors (specifically econ) wouldn't have gotten in last year. How would they filter which essays to read...the whole point of the essay is to give lower GPA students a chance.

It would make sense if they the essays for only "borderline" students...but then we wouldn't have seen 3.92 GPA students being rejected (also for econ).

^ perhaps the 3.92 student had a bad essay :_P

ps, hooray for april babies^^

april babies o_O ive must have missed something
