UC Deferral?

Have anyone did a deferral for this fall quarter and gonna start in winter quarter instead?
I am trying to do a deferral in UCR but one of the guy there tells me that I cant do that.

Is there any other solution I could use??

Thanks ahead for everyone's answer.

from this: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/counselors/files/ETS10_TransferQA_final.pdf

You should write your request down and contact your transfer counselor  . It is possible, gl :)

Yes and I have emailed UCR admit and transfer service.
Both got back to me immediately saying they don’t defer at all…
I don’t understand since I heard other campus will do deferral and also it was stated on the website…

Bad luck… I guess you will either have to enroll this fall or apply again for next year… sorry man

I got a very good job offer from a company oversea and it will be very good reference in the future when i go back to my country…
it’s such a hard choice to make…

Sign up for some classes and drop them? maybe keep an online class just to keep your foot in the door? Good luck either way :)

^ That’s smart, but I just wonder if OP’s financial aid will be in jeopardy if he is not a full-time student for a semester.
Online class is the way to go though. But since you have a “job”, it will be a pain in the butt to commit time to online class

yea i thought of doing that too.
But UCR don’t offer any online classes.
And if I add and drop, do I still hv to pay the tutition fee?

I believe you can pay then ask for refund, but that is too risky. If I were you, I would visit them in person and ask for the deferral. In-person may work well in tricky situation like this ;)
