Hey so I just thought I'd create a thread for UC travel abroad people. I'm still at my CCC and I applied this past november, but i'm hoping to go do the Meiji Gakuin University program with EAP in Japan in Spring 2013.

Has anyone else done Study Abroad yet? OR is planning on doing one?

Actually no, you can’t. But my sight is set on applying when the time comes to do so… once and if i’m admitted to a UC in April. I can give you any information you need, I researched some.

Some schools will actually postpone the EAP date for you until you gain your acceptance for that university… UC Irvine and Cal were willing to do that for me but I ended up coming to UCLA.

Ahh! There’s a thread for study abroad! I’m interested in maybe studying in Spain. Is there a link you can direct me to for some general information? :D

you can look through the programs on the first link I posted, the “UCEAP: Our Programs” link. The prices are different depending on the length and term and location, with summer being the cheapest. From what I can tell there’s only 2 programs for argentina. one in Fall/Spring and one program that is in the summer. The summer program doesn’t have a price for some reason, and the Fall or Spring program is 16-17k

There’s also scholarships or financial aid or whatever that helps you if you need it. I think there’s an alternate payment plan if it works that way better too. If you really want to do it you should look into it more, or e-mail the study abroad coordinator at some UC to ask what financial aid options there are for study abroad.
